I think you are wrong the players have to like the coach.LeeToRainesToRoach said:"Playing for the coach" doesn't happen any more, does it? The coach is a paid employee, the players are paid employees. For me there's a line between the time football went fully professional, and what came before. In many respects, professionalism has adversely impacted the game (IMO).
Our team spirit occasionally comes to the fore, but doesn't seem to be evident consistently as it is with successful clubs.
Round 1 or round 22 i still do not think anyone at the club is playing for the coach. In the Blood said:As disappointed at what I saw as anyone but it is round one FFS.

Any money our players don't.
BBClay said:hmmm....I just wonder how much the introduction of Cousins has upset the balance of the side. Not just in the midfield, but to what extent has he disturbed the relationships Wallace had built up with the other players. We know Cousins is not a team player. He's a loner and he needs hard bodies and hard heads around him, something that Richmond was and is ill equipped to supply.
They'll be flogged by the Cats and the Dogs in succession, but I for one will be watching to see whether things function better without Cousins.
