Panthera tigris FC said:I'm sorry Tango, we can agree to debate Polak's skills pre-accident. That was vigorously debated on this forum. I've got no problem with Claw judging Polak on his footy skills and not wanting to be sentimental about retaining him beyond 2009.
However, there is no misinterpreting the above-quoted statement from Claw. It is a completely ridiculous, callous statement. "....a lot of what happened to him" can only refer to his near fatal injury. What else has happened to him of note over the past year? To state that he "perhaps" brought it on himself is stupefying...even by Claw's standards.
Exactly.

It's fantastic for him, his partner and his family that he has made such a recovery, and it must be awful pleasing for himself to know he's been able to achieve even getting named on an extended interchange bench after what happened.
But I'd personally reserve my sympathy for people involved in accidents created by others than themselves... Such as the tram driver that night![]()
Do you know exactly what happened that night?
Even if it was Polak's misjudgment that doesn't make him not deserving of sympathy. You're pretty callous if you don't have sympathy.
