My two bits worth re memory loss. I have had E.C.T's done some time back to help me with certain life problems and my memory many years later has been affected still(short and long term). And i dint sustain barin injury but still had treatment done to my brain.

For those that are unaware what ECT's is , it stands for electric convulsion therapy. If anyone has seen 'my beautiful mind" with Russell Crowe or 'one flew over the cookoo nest" will know what it is.

My problem wasnt related to drugs, alchohol either !

Mate, I hope the ECT was worth it all the same - sounds like you might be questioning it now. I know I had to do a bit research on it quickly when my wife had PND and admitted herself to a hospital courtesy of her shrink. He was very keen to see her have ECT, and with the help of my wife's mum, we managed to help her avoid it - thankfully. Mate my heart goes out to you..............

Father-in-law had a car accident 10 years ago - brain injury resulted - he cannot remember anything since then - he retains nothing! Graham's memory loss does not surprise me at all - in fact I expect it. They become very edept at feining remembered events, but they are often just "acting" to feel like they fit in or don't sound so silly - the internal confusion is tragic and they deserve all the understanding possible - even then it is hard.

That Polly had no-one else in attendance is bizarre, perhaps even a little predatory if the journo had any understanding of the problem - chances are he/she didn't and was just naive - as a couple of posts here might inidicate it is easy to be.

The journo has apparently been told countless times he can't interview him until the doctor gives the all clear because he's still feeling the effects (obviously). He's a piece of scum that should be sacked.

And apparently Polly's girlfriend had gone out and came back partway through the interview.

PUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSS...... >:D

Look thanks Pharace.

I have had 3 doses of 6 each(x that 3=18). Thinking about it again.

Exercising and training can only do so much. I am glad someone talked your wife out of it. Best thing to have done. ! Sorry for whatever she went through.

Every situation different. Primitive method. should be banned and people protected.

There is talk Polak, and reading between the libnes, he may be delisted, unless they rookie him, which some have mentioned.

I just want him to get well and not worry about getting back. His health and mind the most important things right now. He has his whole life ahead of himself. he is till young.
