Guys if the rumour is correct(in the hun today), that a deal has been struck with wc re morton/cotchin that we will pick up morton so wc can draft gun cotchin.

So he did play some senior football with men, rather than a full year of 18's like Kruezer has.

He kicked five in the prelim final for Claremont.

It's obvious who we have chosen to recruit.

Using that logic surely we're recruiting Chris Masten who played almost the whole season in the WAFL seniors (when he wasn't at the u18 carnival).

I'm only ranking him against Kruezer not the whole field.

Morton is 192, he can definitely hold down a key position.

Eitherway, who is to say one is going to be better than the other at AFL level? You cant tell that.

Agree totally. All this protection of Pick #1 if they weren't going to take Kruezer. Kruezer is the standout of this draft.

Morton is NOT an X Factor, nor an Aaron Fiora clone who happens to take a mark....

He has a big engine; can kick; leap; a strong work ethic; puts his head over the ball and yes, he does has skillful flair.

If we take him with pick 2 and from what I have heard, another KPP player at pick 18 - then that in effect gives us 2 KPP. Hopefully we pick up a Bolton or Tenace until the likes of Collins; Polo; Connors; Edwards can fully hit their straps.

This is by no means ideal - but it may make some in roads.

I worry because even though most think Carlscum will take Kreuz at 1, im not so sure.
If he is available at pick 2 , i think Miller will still overlook him.
