I've written paragraphs on KB's antics but I think this probably sums my sentiments up in two sentences.
Have to learn to live with it now we've re-embraced the prodigal son. Should have changed the locks years ago.
What nonsense

No more nonsense than your inane defending (without any evidence other than the odd "you'd be surprised") of KB at every opportunity.

I like KB generally but I think he overstepped the mark this time. If KB did indeed call March ‘weak’ and ‘pathetic’ that is reasonably harsh words from an icon of the club about a current President. Even if March has turned the other cheek it probably was better not to have this spat in public considering Richmond’s reputation for infighting.

Wow here's a few question to answers.

Dad believes Sheedy is the best person for the coaching job. So he said so on his radio show in his opening segment which is 'KB's Take'.

Although I didn't hear his other comments on a particular day, I am off the impression myself that he felt Sheedy's coaching record meant he didnt have to go through the entire interview process.

Hopper,
Don't think while KB was away from the club that he wasn't supporting the club. And not everything he did for the club during that time, has cmoe out in the press. Just know that he still followed them financially, and also assisted them in certain areas when they needed.
I know you have strong feelings about my father, which is fine, cause he polarises his own supporters; but yourself and others may need to sometime check themselves in the mirror with the comments they make.

Big Cat Lover - my comment about the poll being silly is based on the fact that in his radio show, he talks sports and gives opinion.

Tiger Of Old- I didn't hear that but I think he called March weak and pathetic, for not clearing up an issue that was in the paper on that morning.

He and I have spoken to March , and Gary didn't seem to have a problem with KB's comments at all.

rhett, you might not agree with some of the posts in this thread and vice versa but thanx for putting your 5 cents worth in.

Rhett, thanks for clearing a few issues up. Would like to see a few of the PRE scribes let it go and let the Club get on with the process of appointing a coach who will take us forward........

KB needs to let it go too

hey tigerstrang
I enjoyed you in the 67 and 69 Grand Finals.

What's wrong with KB saying who he wants to coach.

Nothing is the answer.

- Rhett
Nothing wrong with saying who he wants to coach.
But going on and on is over stepping the line.
As Richmond people all we want is to get the best man for the job.

I'm also curious about KB polls on this. They almost have universal support for KB and Sheeds (with many demanding March's resignation), and this is almost a 180o switch on the position on this forum and other RFC supporter forums.

I hope SEN are not vetting calls to make it appear KB/Sheeds have "genuine" grassroots support for their agenda.

No not at all! Why did they dump Grant Thomas? Oh yeah that’s right financial reasons!

Their finances obvious recovered rapidly then to allow them to employ TW a couple of weeks later!

Clean as a whistle the old SEN.

Ive rung SEN a few times and they dont vet the calls.

People calling in on talkback is about the worst way to gauge the views of the ordinary Richmond supporter because it’s a biased sample towards those prepared to speak publicly and go through the trouble of calling talkback. I would rate a PRE poll as far more reliable method of sampling views because it’s mainly Richmond members but it captures a wider range of people within that group.

Totally different issue,SEN's handling of the Thomas issue was disgraceful

Richo had to point out it was only people outside the club and in the media who were pushing these agendas

what else can he say? Is Richo going to go on record and say the place is *smile*. THere are divisions everywhere. Splits at board level and the culture is *smile*? I dont think so.

From a yound age these blokes are taught how to speak to the media. By the time they are Richos age, they are the true spin doctors.

what are the divisions at board level you mentioned? If you are going to say that, you should back it up.

Stop interfering KB.

KB was made famous by playing for Richmond.
He would probably be just a technician for Telstra if he didn't play footy.
He has had a rewarding media career and is rightly regarded as a legend of the game.
He coached the side and seems to have failed.
He then went and sulked from the outside for almost 20 years.
When the club needed him and the other great players to help restore the club he stayed away.
Now he comes back and throwing bombs around.
We don't need this destabilisation.
