After that attention grabbing headline...relax, this is a lighthearted post.

My favourite humorous moment from the match last week was when Wallace (practically skipping!) got to Polo after the match. Wallace gave him a big pat on the head...Polo, with ear to ear grin, promptly leant over and rubbed the top of Wallace's head in return...with Terry's body language showing he was just the slightest bit bemused by the incident (leaning away a little...perhaps mindful that a 1st gamer was giving him a fair dinkum rooster with Wallace having numerous media commitments still left for the night).

It said so much about this young fella and his attitude...just does not seem fazed one iota by the big time...he's one of the men now...giving the senior coach a rooster straight after his debut game...:rofl

The turnaround in the relationship was great.

Many remember Terry's comments about Dean in his first 3 months at the club.
Great to see that Dean is showing again what many of us saw in his last season for Gippsland a couple of years ago.

Pretty funny, didn't see it, but you'd reckon Wallace would be most uncomfortable with having his hairdo messed with.  We used to call it a 'chook', when you held someone down, spat on your hand and rubbed their scalp creating a spikey coif that no amount of combing would budge.  Takes me back.

Should have given him a wedgie and a nipple cripple while he was at it.

What's your recollection of Dean Polo at the Carnival and his time aqt Gippsland ? Was he on your radar ?

Yes, I've spoken about it on the main Polo thread.
He was well and truly on my radar from about 3-4 rounds into the 2004 TAC season.

Cheers Phanto I will have a look at it. I seem to recall a junior coach of his saying that he takes time to pick up the tempo of each new level he plays at then starts to dominate which is encouraging ;)
