Polo's a Cat!

Glad we resisted any temptation to dump Polo.
It would have come back to bite us because he is capable, and on the verge, of playing some really good footy.

I was driving on Beach Road on Tuesday and saw Polo and another guy (looked like Pettifer) getting out of their car. Polo just had shorts on and I have to say looked huge. The boys must be hitting the weights pretty hard in the off season. Can't wait to see a team of men playing for RFC next year. We have looked too young, too small and too inexperienced for too long.

Hopefully he's taking his career a little more seriously after being pedaled around.
Would love to see Polo do well.

What is Polo playing indoor soccer for? He only needs some middle aged guy who still habours dreams of playing for Hellas lay a big double footed tackle and Deans season is over.

I went to Uni with Brian Stynes and he rolled his ankle one day having a bit of soccer kick around. His ankle was a mess but he was more worried about fronting up to the Dees and having to lie about how he hurt his ankle as they had a clause in their contract stating they weren't allowed to engage in any sport that may cause injury and affect their footy.

if polo stays fit and gets a fair go at the selection table, he'll finish in the top 5 in next years b&f

I think you may have got that one wrong. Polo is never going to look "huge". Like trying to get Michael Tuck to beef up.

Have a great feeling this guy will have a big year in 2009. Saw him last night at Box Hill at a indoor soccer game, he was moving fast, looks in top condition and showed his cat like reflexs. Hardly raised a sweat with all the running around.
Spoke to him, he's looking forward to 2009 and confident in playing in the first round.
You scared the crap outta me with your post. :rofl

My business sponsors Dean and I sat with him last year at the PS dinner. Apart from eating my 8 year olds dinner scraps he was a bit peeved over an issue not related to footy, I'm not sure what it is/was. Remember he is coming off / has remedied that "popping" shoulder recurrence which didn't let him lift hardly any weights last year so he was very (weights) raw. For a young bloke who played seniors at Wye Yung as a 14 year old, he's bursting to play consistently with the tiges, I hope he does.

We'll wait and see. He looked a good size to me. Not Rene Kink huge, more like Michael Voss size.
