He's having a shoulder reconstruction.

Better to get him right for next year than damage him further when our year's already shot.

Re: Polo's season over

Good luck polo. :( sad to see you have to endure this kind of op, but wel see you back bigger and better next year!

:clap

Re: Polo's season over

Will miss his gritty game, but it'll be great to have him back and fit next year. Good luck Dean.

Feel for Dean Polo

What a huge disappointment for the young man.

Our first win for the year and he is stuck in hospital with a reconstructed shoulder. I know where he would rather have been.

Dean has played courageously with this bad shoulder for most of the year which is typical of the Tiger spirit and if I knew which hospital, I would urge members to send get well cards. He has become another vital cog in the hopefully resurgent young Tiger team, and it must hurt tremendously to have missed this game.

Get well soon Dean, and come back bigger and better for next year.

Good decision.

Port and the Kangaroos have both reaped the benefits this year of having players go under the knife early.

Absolutely, especially with nothing but pride left to play for this year.

Best decision is this one , their is nothing to be gained by trying to get Dean through the season, only for him to miss the first 6 -8 weeks next year after post season surgery.

Get it fixed now so the kid will be ready to go next year.

Back to the topic, glad Polo is getting a rest. He's shown enough to suggest he's able to play at this level. He'll be back better next year.

I've split the discussion about Angus Graham to another thread.

Thanks Jools. I didn't even realise the discussion was about polo until I went and reread the title of the thread. :help
