Positives from the doggies game

The other thing i notice cuz do tonight was if was in a position at a bull up/bounce that he could not get the ball he went to shepherd a tagger off lids, foley etc. He is always thinking what he can do now, not enough players think/do this.

Good pickup - they need to start working for each other to get better though.

Doesn't matter anyway. These kids will develop 100x as fast under a coach who is more interested in winning than his own tan.

Sadly I think a lot of you are delusional if you think the caretaker coach is going to make a blind bit of difference (after the first few weeks) in the short-medium term.

The Coach now has so many others doing roles that it's his ability to get the most out of them, and help select good ones that will determine the success more than his influence on field.

WAtchin the replay........Bucks speaks well of a few of our youngsters early...... 8)

Did you notice his body language said "I am lying" when he was asked whether he had been approached about the job during halftime?

He did ok Gussie as you'd expect from a former champ but I still reckon it's evident he's lost most of the spark that he had at the Weagles.

I cannot see any point to keeping guys 30++ that won't be part of a finals side let alone a premiership team. Move him along to someone who can genuinely utilise his abilities in the very near future.

Unfortunately Oldie he is our best onfield leader by a mile, who knows how to work around the ball. I would keep him just for these qualities alone, apart from the fact that I think he will get better as time goes on as he regains his match fitness. He has been about the only one to show a bit of fire in the belly and take it up to the opposition with a bit of physical stuff as well.

As you know I was not a supporter of Cousins coming to the club, but I think he has a lot to offer from a leadership perspective and with such a young midfield he can teach our guys a thing or to.

Disagree entirely with these two 'positives' Kurtzy.

Cousins to be shopped or retired & if that's Wil's best then heaven help him.

Don't agree with your disagreement.

Cousins is a real asset on the ground. He does class stuff - and runs hard. That chase he made in the last quarter (when he really didn't have to) showed real guts.
What's more - he can surely still improve in that (baring injury) his football fitness is not fully back yet . All this means is that he could offer a couple more years of valuable footy. No way would I get rid of him.

Thursfield did play his best game for the year - but can and will do better.

I found it funny how all the all the tiges fans went up at half time when the siren blew. I had a mate who's a geelong supporter and he couldn't understand why we were celebrating, I just said that's as good as a win for us mate cause the second half we'll get polaxed.
