Read in the Herald Sun that the Scott brothers are impressing everyone as assistant coaches at Collingwood & Fremantle. Imagine having those two as full time coaches at Richmond. Tough as nails, take no prisoners attitude is what we need. Put some fear into the players and get some true hardness at the football instilled.

I think Tiges should take the lead if and when they change coach - My preference is to have a manager and coach like the English Premier League and like Collingwood proposed a few years back when trying to court Eade I think. Back in 2004 I thought Wallace as manager and Eade as coach might work. Egos and philospohies would have to be harmonsied though

Accordingly I think Sheedy as manager and Bond or Hardwick coach scenario would work well. I actually think Chris Bond would be a terrific appointment, smart tough and has done the hard yards. Good with media and would get the respect of the players. Poach Balmey as footy director and you've got the tiger trinity!

I think Terry will be there for a while if for no other reason than having one and a half years still on his contract. However I would consider removing Royal from the equation largely because he remains tied to Wallaces shoelaces. We need someone in there to remove the comfort zone that Terry has surrounded himself with. Complacency breed contempt and I really wonder if Terry still has the fire in the belly.

Where is the firebreathing dragon that whipped the dogs into shape. We need a bit of fire and brimstone back in the box. I really doubt Wallace feels to threatened by the chocolate Royale and that is why he insist on him by his side.

Not saying this is the answer, but we need to reinvigorate the passion in the coaching box.

I am not one for advocating sacking the coach when the chips are down as this mentality is part of the reason we are where we are, but if we had to go for a new coach my choice would be McKenna or Hardwick. Non Richmond people with a fierce desire to succeed.

I like it lamby. Do you think Sheed's could play such a role though?

I think he could, both Bond and Sheeds could be viable front men for the club, strategy synthesised between them. Bond to work primarily with the boys in coaching and on implementing game plan. Sheedy to oversee tactics pre week and game day, Bond repsonsible for team performance on day and subject to manager discretion game day rotations.

Sheedy to be the main link to our recruiting guys and future directions. Bondy to me more involved with operational hands on stuff.

Poach Balmey, like I said before. Supported by Bond, Cameron and Francis. Bring in Hardwick as Bond's assistant.

Make it so Number 1.

I would go Sheeds, for the fact its a huge job to turn this place around, to change culture, to change style.

He recruits big bodied player for a start, with some mongrel, he would get the team in to clean this place out. He can get a good apprentice to take over when he is finished, like what Barrassi did at Swans and he will get the membership up.

With Sheeds there he will bring creditability to the club, now we are the laughing stock of the AFL and he will bring back passion and pride.

He will also attract good assistants and hopefully 1 to take over in 2 to 3 years, with Sheeds taking a football manager role like Neil Balme.

posted when properly dressed in July last year!!!!

o'k, this cost me a lot (shouting beers that is), but toured the pubs in Richmond today and as a result I will now put my money where my rugby ball mouth is.

Coach: Knights
Dir of coaching: Sheeds

Top 10. Lids, Foley, Patto, Polak, Reiwoldt, Hughes, Edwards, Thursfield, Casserly, Hughes
ably supported by King, Connors , Polo and at least 3 Cam Mooney types

I don't Hate the idea of a manager and a coach but they would have to be able to work together and would both need clear boundaries of what their role is and what they are in charge of!

How many times have you heard someone say ' he is a good match day coach but can't build a list' or vise versa. Maybe you could have the best of both worlds

won't happen though ;)

OK Kelly is out, any idea on how Glen Archer might go?

I guess I like the idea of getting a coach who played footy in a way that lead players by example. Worsfold would have been a great fit for us.

Mike Gatto?

Seems to be the man people look towards to get the job down, might even scare the players into lifting their game.

The Sheedy - Hardwick dream ticket does it for me.

Exactly right, there is no other option

Sheeds to come in and shake the place up real good, rattle the cages, and get some direction back.

Sheeds to serve around 12- 18 months, boost morale, get back respect and boost memberships then pass the job to Mr Hardwick

We need a major culture change and shake up and only sheeds can do this part,

Others who think we need another soft unproven coach, you are deluded, this club needs a tough no nonsense mother ------ who will stand for no nonense and half efforts.

I do like the sound of going with the dual Team Manager and Coach scenario. I also think that Sheedy and Hardwick in these roles would be a good outcome. Neale Daniher and Hardwick would also work for me.
