Potential low profile players from other clubs to consider

I'm looking at blokes you can get for nothing or near to, that is on a nominated contract in National Draft or PSD.

My first choice is-

Brett Ebert- (K-Tel Jason Akermanis playing the wrong end of the ground at this stage of his career. ;D)
16 21 18-Nov-83 178cm 84kg
He's going okay on a HFF but I think he's a goal kicking tagger. He's quick, nimble and has an excellent leap. He can find the goals. And will get better after Port punts him. May not come up this year (F/S) but when he does, get him. Nice kick. Runs hard. I'd trade for this player.

Stuart Cochrane-
91 games 20-Jul-78 189cm 88kg
Excellent stop gap proposition. Good size, very quick, nice kick. Cannot get a go at Port. Last game he played he destroyed Trent Henschell and Tyson Edwards to half time. Can play defensive mid, HBF or #3 back. Can run hard.

Josh Wooden-
93 games 14-Nov-78 183cm 84kg
Hard running, quick and a long penetrating kick. Ideal candidate to send the ball deep into attack from defence. Can play tight. Will get the arse at year's end. Stop gap for one to two years. Hammies may be an issue again.

Leigh Fisher
10 games 19-Apr-84 184cm 90kg
Missed the year with a hammie. Probably won't come up. Tough and very strong overhead and will run hard. Durability an issue.

Paul Bevan
24 games 27-Sep-84 183cm 80kg
A goer with fierce determination, struggling for a game at Sydney. Big leap and is fearless. Probably won't come up unless he wants to go home.

Games tallies at end of 2004.

stuart cochrane? mega dud, not getting a game at port coz he's crap. the others in your list arent bad though, bevan is a real goer, got a regular game up there last season too

Agree on Cochrane - major battler. I reckon we have enough of them already. PASS

Mac Dougall KP (WCE)

McConnell KP (WCE)

Staker KP (WCE)

Spaanderman KP - (Bris)

Brennan (Bris)

Enright (Gee)

Slade (Gee)

Tenace (Gee)

Salopek (Port)

Gram ( StK)

Brad Fisher from carlton could be worth a look... Can take a strong grab, reads the play beautifully and is strong and hard at the ball. Can kick multiple goals and is also only 21.

Gets under alot of teams radars

perhaps if we offload krakeour for fisher and their 3rd pick...

Id go for that

Has been groomed as their CHB and there is no way that the Weagles will let him go. Both Hunter and Glass identified early and groomed accordingly to hold up the Key defensive posts for the WCE.

Thought that might be the case Craig. He's a good 'un. Would love a player of that type at the RFC.

ME TOOO OLDIE!!!!

Why is it that the RFC is seemingly one of the few clubs that cant draft, identify or develop Key Position Backs and Fwds FFS.

Actually that said we havent exactly been able to identify talent on any level in regard to any types of players with much success over past 8-10 years. 8)
We have succeeded in drafting more DUDS tho in the last 10 years than any other club so at least we are top of the tree in at least one category. >:(
