Anyone from Coburg standout?
Did they win?
Was a mixture of our listed guys and Coburg playin Coburg I think ,so yeah coburg won
Besides our 3 19 year olds nobody stood out to me but I would guess there was a lot of young guys out there who will play mainly reserves :don't know

is it fair to say that some of the 2nd and 3rd year kids are showing signs of maturing or is it too early to speculate? i have heard some good things said about raines, roach, limbach, polo and the like on PRE...

Adelaide quite imposing for mine gee they have managed to unearth some talls, Rutten, Henschel, Bock, Jericho to complement their guns in Goodwin, Ricciuto, McLeod and the likes of Burton, Edwards, Mattner and Welsh.

Crows gonna be a force i reckon.  Craig is getting the best outta his boys, they respect him.

The interesting thing about their talls is that they are not that tall. McGregor is their biggest KP at 195cm, Hentschel, Bock, Ruttan, Jericho, Perrie, Hart are all betwen 190 and 194. They are tall and mobile, very quick, link up with the midfielders and play like tall ruck-rovers. Jericho, Hentschel and Hart aren't even particularly heavy.

TW keeps talking about his team of ruck-rovers. That is what Adelaide have done. A couple of ruckmen, a couple of taller KPs like McGregor to combat the giants and the rest of the team is made up of rovers and ruck-rovers.

Could Hughes, Thursfield, McGuane, Limbach and co could be the beginnings of a similar group? A stronger Deledio in a year or two could easily play as a third tall in a role similar to that played by Welsh at Adelaide.

Do teams really need players who are 198cm and 100 kg + to be anything other than running ruckmen? I would suggest the evidence is mounting. Sydney, The Bulldogs and Adel suggest running talls is the solution.

For my 2 cents worth I think the main issue with talls these days is they must be good at ground level as well,I dont know where the myth started that KP players had to be over 195 cm to make it nowdays,Micheal 190 Leppa 191,Fev 191 ,whitnall 191,Tarrant 193,Wakelins 191,Lloyd 192,Lucas 193,Mcpharlin 193,Scarlett 192,Harley 192,Croad 190,Miler 192,Neitz 193,Tredrea 194,Cornes 191,Reiwoldt 193,Hall 194,Harris 194,Grant 193 best Key possies in the league seem to be around the 190-194 area

Agree.

Good to see Dom Di Mascio running around for Coburg. Can play a bit that kid.

Exactly my point when I suggested Thursfield could well become our CHB in time. Al la Rivers.

Well done CC Tioger!!
