PRE fundraising ideas

Just wondering if there'd be much interest in a fundraising effort on PRE next year? A few people have already asked me to make sure we raise money for a rookie again.

I think a general fundraising and deciding towards the year what to direct the money towards would be a good way to go.

If the club make a profit and get rid of our debt they should be able to afford the players we need, but if not maybe we can go a long way towards getting an extra rookie. I expect our money would be welcome to go towards another rookie to help out until our situation improves.

Another thing it could go towards are buying a membership for a disadvantaged family as we discussed last year. Other suggestions welcome.

I thought it would be fun if we made pledges of money we'd be willing to pay for certain things.

A certain amount per win, or per Krakouer tackle, or per Richo goal, or per game for our new players etc etc etc.

People can nominate their own criteria and amount and we'll keep an update throughout the season.

I just thought I'd post some ideas seeing January is fast approaching.

I will start the pledges with $1 per Richo goal and 50c for every Pettifer goal. Here's hoping that comes back to haunt me.

I'll pledge $5 for each Coughlan Brownlow vote,  $10 for each Andrew Kellaway goal, unless he's a forward next year then I'll reconsider, and 50 cents for each Krakouer tackle.
