Well done marty for getting the thread. This isnt anther discussion thread about Plough, it's an e-petition.

IF you agree, stick your name on it, if you dont, dont.

I sure their has been some incident in the history of the world where something really good came of a petition, but I can't remember one off the top of my head

(I'm not talking just about Richmond)

I take your point Col. and as I said at the outset, its probably not worth the cyberspace its written on BUT, petitions are actually a part of our constitution. If you hand enough signatures to an MP, they are bound to table it in parliament. Maybe Kevin Rudd could demand Walla$e to express some deep regret at the pain he has caused us :hihi

This little period is called taking our medicine for the mistakes of the past. Wallace can stay as long as he wants in 2009 as long as the current losing trend continues and we get a prioirity/good pick.

I see little point in sacking TW now. Only scenario I can see is TW walking away - I guess at some stage every man has a tipping point. His is seemingly further from the cold hard realities than mine would be.

Let's keep Terry until the board meeting in June (only a few weeks away) and stick to the word of our board. Means a prospective coach can arrive knowing the board has some honour, and hopefully Terry can coach us to enough losses that the new coach gets a young gun to work with on his arrival.

Take the pain, fellow tigers. As many times as we've done it before - it's time to do it again. In some ways, pretend it isn't happening.

If you really want to make an online petition, do it here.

This is NOT why I buy my membership and turn up to watch games !

If this happens all we will do is make people learn to hate the game (we play). Terrible message to want to instil in our players (& supporters).

Never TANK !

Dear Terry, you have had 4.5 years at Richmond and have delivered no improvement. We, the supporters, are probably the gloomiest we have been in the last gloomy 27 years. We the undersigned think you should do the right thing by the club and resign immediately and allow a new coach an opportunity to try to restore some confidence to our players and supporters.

Just quoting the original post because people going on about sacking coaches don't appear to have read it properly. Gollywog didn't mention sacking. It's a request for Terry to resign. There is a massive difference between the two.

As for the petition I don't know if I've ever signed one and I probably wouldn't sign this if it was real but I certainly wouldn't be upset if Terry walked away.

Yep, we are clearly the worst club in the competition......ground hog day all over again........feels like May 2004, I sense that all familiar, terrible sinking feeling!

The only difference is that I am five years older, and maybe wiser.

Have been a social club member in the past. I cant imagine putting my hand back in my pocket after this season....

Let cut to the chase, I want a royal commission, followed by prosecutions of those responsible for this footballing genocide. Then we can talk about financial compensation for the years of pain and hardship the Tigers have inflicted on me.

Prefer to see Plough coach for the rest of his contract.
We've spent near thirty years chewing up coaches and boards for absolutely no result.
If the Board and the Football manager, yep you CC, have any balls at all. Then now is the time to hold the players accountable for their performance.
It will be easy to bury Plough and whack in an interim coach, who the players will all lift for, for a few weeks until the heat goes out and they can settle back into their highly paid groove of mediocrity.
Eight goals in a quarter against Geelong.
Grinding back into the game against the Kangas after they jumped us.
Running all over Brisvegas to start the game yesterday.
There is talent an ability available at Tigerland but the ticker to play genuine hard contested thinking footy for four quarters is nowhere to be found.
Let Plough coach out the season. Put the onus back onto the playing list to play honest football instead of the cheap nasty possession sh!t they are getting away with and if they don't stand up then they can pack their suitcase along with Plough at years end.
There's a lot of players playing the safe arse protecting stat gathering option every time a game gets serious and they're as much to blame as anyone on the coaching panel.

Spot on.

Players get away with murder.
