It's basically the same players every year, except for Edwards. I tell ya what, if Jackson & McGuane don't pull that digit out, I won't be paying the piper next year.

There were very few players available to sponsor by the time we collected the money. If it was paid in October when this thread was started we could have almost a full list to pick from. Without checking to be exact I think we voted for 10 players who weren't available by the time we'd collected the money.

Jacko and Tucky had 9 votes each and the next highest player was 7 votes so they were chosen by the PREnders who contributed. People wanted someone under the pump and someone who didn't already have a sponsor so Luke fitted that criteria, not so much under the pump but due to step up a cog or two. We had a choice of 3, and I can assure you the other options would have been less popular with some.

Shane Edwards is new to us.

This sponsorship is a team thing where everyone has a fair vote but if anyone wants to go with their individual preference rather than the majority rule they'd probably be better sponsoring a player individually.

Who did you vote for gpb? I couldn't find your post.

Some I voted for didn't get a gig, but I'm fine with that if they already had sponsors.
 
Jools a few peopple pm'd or e-mailed their votes.

Anyway geoffry isn't getting out of it so easily. If he doesn't cough up next year I'll go door knocking and collect the money personally. I have ways. :devilangel
 
Time to unsticky this htread. Thanks to all who contributed so generously. It's great to raise $2000 for the RFC and get behind the players at the same time.

A reminder that I've covered for a couple of people who couldn't pay for a couple of weeks. When you're ready to pay please pm me for bank details.
