Angus Graham.
Being a ACDC fan i must say a very very very good choice ;D :clap :clap :clap.
If Young Angus[pardon the pun] moves half as good as Angus Young does on stage then he will have a huge future ;D

Angus & Axel, now there's a great combination.

Can someone post a link to where on the RFC website it says that Angus is our rookie.
I'd just like to admire it for a few minutes.

ANGUS GRAHAM

Date of Birth: 16/4/1987

Height: 200.3cm

Weight: 92.6kg

Recruited from: Tasmania/Assumption College/Calder Cannons

Position: Ruck

Developed at a rapid rate throughout 2005, playing about 40 games of football all-up for Assumption College, Calder Cannons (TAC Cup) and Tasmania (in the under-18 championships). Is genuine ruck size and has impressed with his palming of the ball. Uses the ball quite well by foot, is clean at ground level, aerobically sound, and his marking is improving. The Richmond Rookie Club’s selection.

Even though the rookie club rookie is Angus it was Cam Howat that the money allowed us to get...
Not a big deal i know but i am a pedantic idiot at times..

yes, Humm and Howat.

i'd imagine that the club still would have drafted a first round rookie(Graham) drawing funds from its own coffers if the coterie and PRE hadn't raised any money.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter. The club has nominated Black Angus as our rookie (King Island where he hails from has great dairy and beef cattle) so he is the one we get to brand. Has anyone got a great PRE logo and know a good Tatooist?

In all seriousness I would be up again next year for this and would increase my donation. Why? We are still in the financial doledrums and will be next year as well and there are some quality kiddies to snap up next year.

So next year we cut out whats left of the dead wood, show the "aint-gunna-make-its" the door, give the faint hearts the boot and fill all our rookie spots!

I reckon that will require a donation again.

PS Tatoo design, branding iron I am easy just as long as it has PRE on it. ;D

I thought the whole idea of the PRE rookie fundraising was to get an EXTRA rookie not the first round rookie which the club covers. If thats the case then i'd be asking for a refund with what we got ie. Humm and Howat, how old are they again?

Am happy again as my money gone to Graham. Nearly ready to ask for a refund if my hard earned went to getting Humm ;D

They say King island is renowned for its cream, just hopeful the cream will come to the top.

Did you contribute tt? I don't think your name's on the list so will update it if you have.

Its pretty simple if we put money in to get an extra rookie, we got Howat. To my mind its not so much the player as the concept of having more rookies. Everyone accepts rookies are lotto tickets, but you know what, if you don't buy one you'll never win.

The quicker we can afford a full player and rookie list the better and then we have to learn to turn most of them over after 2-3 years without feeling guilty.

Miller stated before the draft that we would not nessarally draft in order of preference. Hence We may have used our first selection on Graham knowing that the other two would still be available later on.

On the application form it says our money will be used on the first selection in the rookie draft.

and i have faith in collins, millers wallaces judgement. Just look at Thursfield.

I also hold their judgement in high regard. The point is, that if you think our money bought Angus then you have bought the snowjob.

Or you could just not over analysis things and just go with the flow, if the club says he’s the guy, that ‘s good enough for me.

And, after all the club didn’t just select on order of preference, they also selected on order of who they thought the other clubs were interested in
