I think getting Riewoldt has made the idea of getting Kingsley redundant.

Better to pick up one of the many talented juniors who missed out on Saturday morning.

We could have done that on Saturday phanto with our last pick.

Mature body will go onto the list. The talented youngsters will be rookied Im sure

Having a look at our current list, you would have to think we are definitely in need of another mature body. A lot of very young boys in this group.

Ppl will hate it...but i still have a feelin Wallace sees Sarge as an option down back...
I think you'd be right as Wallace seeing him as an option down back but I don't you'll find him there permanently.

Judging by David King's comments in a recent article about Schulz, he'd like to see him able to play both ends as required. Too add to this I've heard several comments recently that Cleve Hughes can also expect to find himself spending time in defence next season, so this is a pretty clear direction the club is taking.

Wallace's plan is clearly to recruit & develop skilled KPPs who can fulfill a multitude of roles and are not restricted to pure forwards(Richardson) or defenders(Gaspar).
The recent recruitments of Polak and Riewoldt only strengthen this argument. Both can play forward or back.
Flexibility is the key.

In saying all of that I'm not sure where the expected recruitment :help of one dimensional Kicksley comes into it? Perhaps it's stop gap measure as to continue the development of our young key forwards. :headscratch

This overall argument may also be a reason as to the perceived lack of interest in the younger Perry, in that he's seen as a pure defender.

One can only hope.

Shults and Cleve should be up forward well before Kingsley.

Now Rewy is a tiger Shults may find himself down back.

To the Poll above I say no to all of them.

I say Elevate Howat, who we know is ready, is arguably best 22.

I then say use the pick on a kid through the rookie draft.

stole my thunder. i'm on the PROMOTE HOWAT bandwagon!!!

I sense that Wallace is considering Kingsley as experienced insurance if one of the "one dimensional" KPP's breaks down ie Gaspar or Richardson. A repeat of a "Mark Graham" 1 or 2 year contract may be the logic.
Before anyone starts howling at this, revisit Dyertribe circa 2003-2004, Frawley as coach, spitting supporters, 5 wins from 35, Clinton Casey, financial losses, Hall, *smile*, Tivendale,Krakour, Bowden are they any good ?

I think Wallace is clever enough to do what is best for the list and game plan.
