Why don't we try & get a social game of footy happening some time next year.We could challenge one of the rival websites (ie: Bomber Blitz site) to a friendly match and afterwards have a get together for a bbq and a few coldies.I'm sure there would be quite a few past great's amongst the PRE website that would be interested in donning the guersney for a fun day and maybe play for a trophy.ROSIE could be our coach. No arguments there! Opinions please!

There was a game organised between us and Bomberblitz last year dave and unfortunately there was a mix up with everyone arriving to find the ground wasn't available.

The Bummer person organising it got pretty cut up and posted some very ordinary comments both on here and on BB.  It was an unfortunate situation but nobody's fault really and certainly wasn't worth losing sleep over.

Most of the PREnders just moved on to another ground and had a match amongst each other and apparently had great fun.

Rosy, we certainly moved on and had a GREAT intra match - I well remember Geoffrey Pretty Boy's amazing balk, whoops trip, as he waltzed thru 3 players and kicked a magnificent goal from 2 M out. He staggered on and almost ended up in Tiggytam's and Jool's laps. :rofl :hihi

Hahahahahaha, I'm mentally too strong to become weak at the knees from your bagging. :hihi I bet either Tigs or Jools would of loved me on their lap. :P

Anyway, if we do organise another game, hopefully this time someone can officially books a venue, then we could see an even better, stronger, fitter performance by Skills, who has been pumping iron and eating the protein powder out of the tin with a spoon, just like a kid eating milo out of a can. :hihi

I also think CC can swap the golf club for the Sherrin for the day, last time he was spewing he missed out, so now I reckon it'll be good opportunity for him, and also others to participate.

We will organise a game dave.  If the Bummers aren't interested there are other forums who'd like to play us.

Another alternative is to have a PRE social day and a game amongst ourselves.

My opinion is that mightn't be the best idea. ;D

I dunno if I speak for most PRE's who are still playing footy, but to double up on a weekend during the actual season would be hard yakka. Maybe a friendly intra-site during the season is do-able, but to go hard yards against "true" opposition....hmmmm dunno. More than happy in off or pre-season.
Dangerous topic by the way dave ;)

he was also playing wearing blundstones lol, fair effort i say! I'm pretty sure he kicked another goal too.

I just thought it was a good idea to throw at you all.I've only been a PRE for a short time & didn't realise you have played one recently. No harm trying!!!

It's a great idea dave and it would be even better still if we could arrange the game to be on our beloeved Punt Road oval.  We have the club's permission for that but it's hard to organise within the very narrow timeframe to fit in with the cricket pitch being laid or taken up.

Or maybe we could just have a virtual game! That would be good, I can see myself kicking 8 from CHF!
