We played well last week but Essendon's form is very strong in the past month, in particularly over the past fortnight, trouncing the Hawks and pushing St Kilda.
On pure form you would back Essendon to win by circa six goals.
Whilst one could hope the drama of this week would galvanise the playing group to play above themselves, the fractured relationship with the coach would suggest that when the pressure goes on, the self doubt will creep in.
I am hoping for a credible team performance win lose or draw, but MORE IMPORTANTLY a credible performance by the administration and supporters after the match and over the next few weeks, in the face of what will almost certainly be on-going media hysteria and pressure.
Hang fat people till after Round 11, when the boil will be lanced.
