Just watching some pre season highlights of RCD on youtube, he was reasonably quick and explosive at the time, now quite one paced... tired boy, long season playing as an inside mid?

Will be a great test for CCJ this week against Meece who is a beast at this level.

You can see the toll of a long season on some of the youngsters now.

I reckon we have 5 blokes who will be best 22 next year in this side

Balta, Pickett, Naish, Ross and Criminal Jones.

Plus Stackman and the recruit of the year Sir Rancelot

How are we going to fit them all in?

Williamstown beat Essendon

26 pts

So it’s Richmond vs Williamstown next week At Ikon Park.
Willy were very good and far too tough for the Bummers VFL who have pushed us really hard every game in '19. It's going to require a top-class performance to beat them. Not sure how we can stop Meece who is a beast alright; just dominated this final. Huge challenge for CJ, Balts and Cholly.

Geez 4 weeks for Aarts. Obviously different tribunal to AFL

The Port bloke's cheekbone was fractured in three places and needed surgery. Plus concussion.

Interesting that the old "potential for serious injury" wasn't wheeled out against Hawkins. They have a book full of contradictory catchphrases that can be used to justify any decision.

Jesus. 4 weeks was pretty light then?

Just shows. The commentary in real time said 'not much to see there. The umpire is closer than us and hasn't paid a 50, and the port player is on his feet'

jeez

Might've got a week less because he's missing a grand final.

Sympathise with the Port player's parents, but if anything it showed the difficulty of assessing incidents in real time, and counts against the father's call for a send-off rule.

busting a blokes jaw from behind with the jimmy jess simply isn't acceptable on a footy field.

As you say, it's hard to see how bad it was from the TV footage, even from two different angles. It was late, and he obviously made proper contact.

If Schofield had suffered the same consequences, you'd certainly say Hawkins' was the worse incident by far.

A bit unlucky to hurt the guy with the hit that he did, which was overzealous to be kind. Was a pretty *smile* act.

The penalty seems ok.

yeah you would because Hawkins was way off the ball. If Schofield had Jed Lambs jaw, Hawkins hit would be in the same conversation with Matthews hit on Bruns and Hall on Staker.

irregardless, Performings whack was pretty bad.
