Premiership Coach - Richmond Player Ratings

I think a lot of the relevant stats aren't available to the public and you'd need an official AFL licence to get access to them. This game doesn't have a licence. That also means that when you buy the game, the team names and logos won't be the actual ones. But there'll be a patch you can download that will have all that stuff. It just won't come directly from the developers.

As for clearances and Foley, a lot of the ratings aren't entered as such but are derived from other skills. Players will have a clearances rating but it's not one that we'll enter manually. It'll be determined by the player's ratings in other categories.

I'm actually not the best guy to speak to about all this stuff. Like I said, my main job is handling the media events in the game. If you have a lot of questions and/or suggestions, head over to the forum and ask the guys who know what they're talking about :)

Some of those speed rankings are terrible
Fevola is very quick, I know it was handicapped but he won the grand final sprint
Davey is super quick for accelleration, but isn't that quick at any distance over 20m which is why he never runs the grand final sprint either
Franklin should be far higher as well
Cooney is quicker than Hodge, Hodge is footy quick, not leg quick

Like I said, I wasn't responsible for those. If you have any constructive criticism, head to the game's forum and do it there. I'm asking for help with the Richmond ratings here.

Okay, so not the response I was hoping for from PRE.

Thanks to Freezer and Panthera. If you guys (or anyone else) wants to keep helping out with these ratings, PM me your email address. I could really use the help. I'll try to get you credited on the game when it is released :)

IMO since ability to win contested ball is the primo talent of the game, ranger, you gotta have a clearance or first hands attribute. If it were mine it would be both - first possession/clearance - but I'm old fashioned.

The rest of the attributes can all be summed up by the hair-do skill. ;D

On the speed thing I reckon ya got the differences way too big and on the sample wrong (or at least your boss did :hihi). Flankling would lap some of the blokes you've got above him. We've got three blokes, at least, who will punish Aaron Davey for his lack of speed. And we don't punish many.

So is it the speed ratings you want for Richmond? First isn't too hard to work out. Duh-ledio. Moore, Foley Tambling not far behind. Foley kills them for 0-30 ATM- acceleration? I'd beat Meyer. And Edwards is the world's next biggest speed rumour- acceleration, anyway.

Do you want us to rate them on various attributes?

What about physical presence? Suggest you benchmark the league off Polak. He's a zero. Can you have negatives? If so give him a minus a {googal plus one}. No. Plus two. Give the next worst ten.

The boss is playing a lot of the game to test the engine and how well the ratings system is working and making changes where necessary. The ratings we give him for the players will be further tweaked before the game's release, so this is just a rough guide that will reduce the workload for him later. If you really want to get into the nitty gritty of the ratings, you should sign up at the game's forum and start a thread about it there. I'm pretty sure Adam would take note of your ideas, even if he doesn't have a lot of time to discuss them in detail with you.

There are plenty more attributes to be rated, so anyone that wants to be involved you can give us your speed ratings here. If there are enough people, I'll keep doing it in this thread. Otherwise, I'll get you to PM your email address to me and we'll do it that way.

Yep, got it. Thanks Freezer. I'll email you when I move onto the next rating. Just gonna see if anyone else might wanna help. The more perspectives the better.
