Press conference.

"Early mistakes in the game sapped team confidence. NAB series reasonable. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. We understand we are now in the spotlight. Tough game next week. 13 games gets you into the finals however. We did due diligence on Ben's hamstring. We knew the risks on Cousins. thought Cuz was going ok before injury while we were being killed. He held up his end."

l haven't heard one but will be the standard l would say.
"underdone, skills were down, poor game in front of a finals type crowd, will have some hard sessions this week, supporters deserve better.

yup... the usual drivel. How about taking responsibility for a change plough you peanut? You've wrecked our kids and recruited midgets.

He crapped on about how we had a good preseason, that we beat fremantle and we beat Brisbane, he didn't see this coming. Who cares! It only matters what happens from round 1 and we are a shambles.

Our preseason form was shithouse. He's spinning faster than a tyre on a ducati running flat out.

Look I think Wallace now has to go at some point this year but really what do you expect him to say.

If he wants the players to HURT, then let out the truth about who underperformed on-field and also how he was outcoached.

Unfortunately his ego is too big to bust.

For him to take responsibility and apologies to supporters. We've done our bit as supporters and paid up members and get crapped on yet again.

Right now, I doubt anyone would be happy with anything Terry had to say. Tough gig! It says more about some than others. The pressure will only get bigger over the next two weeks...................

He should say - We were appalling and all of us from coaching staff, support staff and the players must take responsibility. I know that we've got 30,000+ members that are badly hurting after seeing an unacceptable performance tonight on top of a bleak 27 years. In a hurry we need to not just improve our skill execution under pressure, but also have the committment and mindset to want to compete at AFL level. There will be many changes to the team for next week and beyond based on both of those areas - some players are either not good enough or didn't committ to the contest to represent this club. This will no longer be tolerated - no such thing as a one-off aberration. In addition, the coaching staff and myself in particular must review our game plan to come up with something that this list can more easily achieve and give us the best chance of succeeding against our opponents. Clearly our lack of foot skills does not allow us to play a possession run/carry oriented game style. We go to work straight away to rectify things.

I'd prefer that (which all of us can see) rather than drivel about how well we played in practice mathces where the result means nothing. Are we now supposed to get excited about practice matches? Given we can't win when it counts and we've just been belted by 83 points by Carlton of all teams - I don't need to hear rubbish like that. I don't want apologies - I want an acknowledgement that what happened tonight was not good enough and a committmnet to meaningful change. Look out if we get a 100+ point belting by Geelong trying to play the same way as tonight without massive changes to the team that played tonight.
