Prestia !!

Better game, but still a terrible kick of the football, its heart in mouth stuff. Flip of the coin whether it goes on the side of the boot.

The one in first quarter when he was tryin to hit Bolton from 15 metres out under zero pressure from a standing start was just embarrassing.

Hopefully it just gets better from here and becomes the norm rather than exception. The more the opposition focuses their attention on prestia the better it will be for Dusty and cotch.

Needs to lift wondering if we had our money back would we go as hard to secure him jury still out on this one ?

His best game for us, only trading twice a week.

Better for for previous runs, his first win not far away. :hihi

He need to do this because he is a liability by foot.
I had a bloke sitting behind me last night who was berating Prestia when he made any sort of error by foot. Problem was that he was ignoring the 6-7 in between that were hard won and neat and tidy.

He played exceptionally well last night, he is very good around stoppages. He made a few errors but most did in that high paced game, Dusty included btw

This guy is going to be a gun!!

It is obvious that he has vision and smarts that others dream of.

When his body gets well and he is able to fully train we are going to see some magic stuff.

Hopefully this week off means he pulls up well and continues to prove the doubters wrong!
:clap :clap :clap :clap :clap

I don't know of someone was blocking your view but it was about every third kick that was poor but I will take it because in previous games it was every second kick.

Noone was blocking my view.

Probably the log in your eye clouding your view I suspect

He had 25 uncontested possessions out of 35, so still not good enough.
Tough audience.

Among other things, his introduction has reduced pressure on both Dusty and Cotch. Our 3rd best midfielder is no longer a journeyman.

This thread reminds me of what the wise sage Barry Hall had to say about Kurt Tippet. The clip that the Front Bar always show.

Kurt Tippet, out of the game....
He needs to lift
As he's done so so far.

:rofl

our team average DE for the year is 71%, average for the AFL is low 70s. Average uncontested rate is about 65-70% of possessions

So Prestia had 35 at just below AFL average for contested/ uncontested and disposal efficiency. The issue is that many just see the bad stuff

What we will see from Prestia as he gets more fit and used to the team is a ball magnet with decent but not elite foot skills.

He only had 3 contested at half time so really picked it up 2nd half. It surprised me as he seemed to be struggling with fitness in the first half. Thought his 2nd half was exceptional despite clearly not the best kick around.

that is a 66% disposal efficiency, which for an inside/outside mid, better than average

DE alone is not very useful. More contested disposals usually means lower DE. Also taking the game on versus safe backwards kicks etc. Again first half his DE was pretty poor I thought but def picked up his game in the second which was a great positive.
