Prestia !!

got the ball 26 times more than Brodie. :hihi

Watched him first couple games.

Don't want to be too harsh on a 2 gamer but he looks pretty slow with poor foot skills.

But I'll back bullus's assessment in that he will be a gun.

Ill be honest I didnt watch him much at gold coast ,

But a mate that did who watches them live , said at his best his ball use may not always been elite ,but his ability to keep getting the ball was , said he was a ball magnet

Presty can't be going all bad. Travelling a smidgin better than the Jaeger bomb at half the price at the moment.
Gets a bit more settled into our game style n polishes up his ball use a tad n we'll have a more than handy player.

Coming good. The medicos know what they are doing. Its a marathon not a sprint.
He will be at peak come September.

Been a critic but he had a good game. Best signs were he's got some zip back.

His foot skills were still poor. Cannot argue that.

Nor could anyone argue his ability to know when/where to run in tight.

Just knows. Can't teach that.

Hands also were very very good.

We gave up a lot so we need him to be that A1 No 3 mid to Dusty and Chimp.

He'll was never going to be as good as them, they are champions, but needs be a clear 3rd wheel for 5+ years.

On last night game it's the first signs in our colours he can be.

That was the Suns version of Dion on Saturday night. Hard running & being in the right spot all the time & racking up possessions at will. Obviously we are a much better midfield for it. All the talk is how him playing allows Martin Cotch etc to be more flexible, it's no good though when Dion wasn't firing. Now when playing like that it's when we get the most all round team benefit

Hard running is the key. Zipping in and out of contests, running to support, giving the handball and going. Has good hands and gives it to advantage. Needs to be our 3rd mid and dominate games with run and spread.

It changes things significantly if he can get his hands on the footy 30 x a game.

Prestia's game reminds me of Damien Peverill, an Essendon player from 10 to 15 years ago.

He knew how to find the ball and knew his limitations and would always hand ball if the only other option was to hit up a player who had an opponent close by.

Prestia still tries to hit the player up who is closely checked and his kicking skill are being exposed as substandard. He need to realise his kicking limitations and look for safer options.

His left foot is abysmal and he rightly stopped using it.

You're gunna spew when Dion really hits form Yandby. ;D

will marginally get better if his leg issues hold. If he needs another post season clean out and delays his 2017/18 pre season then we are back to square 1. IF he has a rest and then does a full pre season then we should see a vastly different player. Same number of possessions but more impact.

Some good signs on Saturday and the first time he actually looked to have a burst of speed and ability to cover the ground.

Was getting to contests that he wasn't getting close to in the first 6 rounds.

Can make a huge difference to our midfield with another player capable of picking up 30+

Why would I spew TS, as a tiger supporter I will celebrate if Prestia's kicking skills improve but due to what I have seen this year to date I am not holding my breath.

Still not sure why we have so many haters of Dion. He is class, so what he has had a run of terrible kicks, his updside makes his kicking negligible. Look at what cotch and dusty have produced, its pretty much a symptom of having better second tier mids, when he is up and about it will be even better because then we will have prestia, cotch and martin flogging the opposition to bits.
Great pick.

in his presser Dimma mentioned this week is the 2nd week he's been training up to 2 days a week & not before this time, could explain why he's had a slow start to the season as he didn't get a pre season either.
