So do u take the risk and grab prismal (who has done is anteior and will miss 12 months) at bargain basement rates with a knee injury.
He is out of contract and was going to go for a big price but now if u have the patience he may prove to b a bargain.
Is he worth trading for?? He looks the goods to me and just the player we need.
Bad luck for the boy with the injury but lets swoop.

Geelong will most likely keep him now I'd say.

Best thing that could have happened to Geelong, no club ever likes to see a player injured, but the dark side of Geelong would be quietly happy about this ;)

I felt gutted for the lad, pretty unfortunate way to end his campaign and possibly his career. Make no mistake he was the goods, very able and keen to win the contested possesions and good skills to match.

Yep,to come this far & have no futher part must be gut wrenching for the kid.
Seemed to be nothing in it either.A simple sideways movement that you do all the time in a game.I dunno!!

Very disappointing for the young man to be struck down just when his career appeared to have clicked.

One might guess that 2009 would see him absent.

2010 would be a recovery / confidence regaining year.

2011 might see him back to his best. He would be 25yo by then.

Hopefully its not a full ACL or maybe he can get the synthetic thing done. Knees are bastard things really !

Makes Richo's comeback look even more spectacular doesnt it ? The amount of strain richo puts on his knees has had me wincing over the years.

Ready to play round 10......true or not true id trade for him, or PSD
Nurse him 2009 ready to fly in 2010 for maybe a tilt to steal a flag b4 we go back to back flags in 2011..... :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

no but seriously if we can get him to tigerland on the cheap(real cheap)from the cats....aint he worth it?...or r you put off by the injury??

Im just trying to work out how to bring some ready made young class to the team, because over the next 3-5 years if stuff your draft picks your screwed....and given our performances in the draft....do i need to say more (excluding the obvious)

Prismall isn't that good, he's just made to look a million bucks by the quality around him

agreed. He's OK. But if you can't develop a few decent flankers there's something wrong. Beware being seduced by a fringe flanker from a premiership side, a fools paradise.

That might be a general rule of thumb, But you need to treat each player on his own merits.

Brent is a very good footballer if you watch him closely. Would add plenty to our side if fit. i.e skilled, strong bodied mid with heaps of footy left.

All depends on what you giveup though.

He isnt a Harley, Hunt, Mackie, Enright etc as he actually wins his own share of the ball. I would tend to think being at the cats is actually limiting Brent, not the other way around.

Harley has the most marks from opposition kicks and he doesn't win his own ball? OK its not in and under ball but he does win it in another way. I'd say Enright wins his fair share as well, more than I've seen from Prismall. Prismall doesn't really play like an in and under type anyway (which is what we really need) but more of a tough link man type role, similar to Jordan Lewis.

Pressured kicks coming into backlines = easy marks. Simple as that.

Spoke to Prismal's dad on weekend.
He said the kid was keen to leave Geelong as he thought his chances would continue to be limited and he was 22 and wanted to nail down a permanent spot.
He is tipped to be back mid-season in 2009 but I am sure i read that the Cats were keen to keep him.

Did you whisper in his ear you may know someone who maybe interested.
