In a year of rebuilding i'd love to see at least one project player on the bench each week. This week it was patto,he didn't play well but i'm sure he's learning more each time he's in the one's. So if he's dropped next week, id love to see hughes given a go, then a meyer, polo, casserly, jon etc. The experience would be invaluable to the kids and would add some interest for the supporters each week.

I know where you are coming from richards42, it would be great and the experience would be invaluable. My guess is we might see Hughes in the Richmond jumper next week and this thing about him being dropped in the 2nds could be the build up (5 day break) that TW has planned for him.

As for project players as you have described, playes such as Hartigan, Tuck & Raines (because they were picked low in the draft), and unfortunately Simon Fletcher & Kyle Archibald were project players. It's a real bonus when players that are picked so low are really showing stuff what men are made of.

I just think with 4 players on the bench its a good oppotunity to introduce a new kid into the team( only if he deserves it)
