Was sitting here wondering what The Age would have to say about Friday's game. Went to their website and, I kid you not, I could not find any mention of it on their home page. Any 23-goal belting is news and normally they would have a big headline and a photo in the sport section, with a link to the article.
Scroll to their SPORT headlines on the main page and there isn't anything about footy! It's all soccer. THIS, on a day where an AFL match was played featuring the mighty Essendumb.
Oh hang on ... over to the right ... there is a small link with the text "Crows smash Bombers". Very hard to find. I have no doubt if it was Richmond it would be the sporting headline.

Methinks some Essendumb-supporting sports editor has had too much influence here. Or am I just paranoid?

Calm before the storm I think. The media will descend on Sheedy soon enough.

I think being an interstate game it finished before the Victorian sporting deadlines.....I will be looking foreward to a few reads and footy shows over the coming weeks though..... ;D

This is a website - they can update it whenever. In any case, the full article was there with quarter-by-quarter scores, goalkickers and best players. It's just that the link to was buried on the main page.

One thing Ive just realised......
Bomber Thompson will be relieved.....All this will at least get the press of the pussycatkitties back for the time being! ;D

I like The Age don't get me wrong, but geez they blew it today. One of the headlines on the front page of the Sport section read "Harry Kewell: Why he won't start in the World Cup."

I then turned on the news, and saw that Harry had played 85 mins of a practice game against some Dutch ammo side, kicked two goals and set up two more.

I'd imagine the boys at The Age would like another shot at that one. ::)

Well you'd think so, condering the mongrels look like beating the Eagles today. (praying for a comeback from the eagles with the wind in the last qtr)

Damn straight!! Even though I have tipped against us & the Lions tonight, they're 2 games I wouldn't mind getting wrong this round. ;D

its been the same way for many years, we have no "mates" in the media and we are treated accordingly. I love watching Jim Wilson presenting the sports report after his beloved blues cop yet another hiding :hihi

your prayers were answered ... eagles by 3.

it just gets better and better doesn't it?

cats led by 9 goals at one point.

it's bitter sweet. great to see geelong and essendon lose they way they did, but i've had a gut full of the interstate dominance

just lisen to the two on fox tonight

Geez those two were hideously bad. One of them kept thinking it was intelligent to remark that turnovers in the Tigers defense would hurt us. Then, whenever we'd turn the ball over, he'd say something like "Oh, yeah, there's those turnovers I was talking about." like we were the only team in the comp to ever turn the ball over.

Drove me up the wall listening to that rubbish for two hours. >:(

NOW. The HEADLINE on The Age's website Sports section is BUCKLEY SPEARS MAGPIES TO FAMOUS WIN.

You can't tell me there isn't ALOT of bias in terms of some clubs being promoted and protected and some aren't.

I just hate the way the commentators commentate on Garry Ablett Junior.

If anyone looks like touching him, or if he goes down (Garry Ablett is down, he is been hurt... blah, blah, blah.... oh, he is a little champ....)

WHAT HAS HE DONE LATELY.... ?

After 5 or 6 years maybe you could call him a champ, but PA Lease.... >:( ::) :P

Sounds like Tim Gossage. You guys don't know how lucky you are to live outside of Perth and not have to put up with him on a consistent basis. He and Basil Zempilas are the biggest tools going around WA.
