I was hoping someone may remember what happened to the White Painted Stand that was to the left of the Main grandstand and ran around the MCG side of the ground towards Brunton Avenue?
Was the stand demolished after the Home Games were relocated to the MCG?

I remember it was still standing when I was a kid in the 1970s, well after we stopped playing there in 1965. It was basically a small concrete stand. I presumed it was demolished when they built the new facilities but I'm not sure. There are remnants of the old red brick building between the Dyer Stand and the Swinburne Centre which I remember from back decades ago too.

This is the only pic I can find on the State Library site, the player is William "Polly" Perkins. This is from the 1940s.

I think it was called the "Cricket Stand or The Cricketers Stand" & was demolished or partly demolished & incorporated into what is now the "Swinburne Centre"

No. The admin building was built in the Casey era between the Dyer Stand and the social club. It was then modified, including by putting in the balcony, when the social club was demolished and replaced with the yellow and black caterpillar that is there now, the formal name of which I think is the David Mandie building.

There was a two storey red brick building on the other side of the Dyer stand. Originally I think it had a squash court. Eventually I think the upstairs part of it was turned into the old GR Room and was accessed from inside the Dyer Stand. Later still the upstairs had coaches boxes for the magoos.

I presume this is it in the background of this 1975 photo of the superbly fit (and well dressed) Mal Brown.

Hmm, I still remember there being some sort of building between the Dyer stand and that concrete stand years ago. Just can't remember which years.

Love those cords Mal. Can't say I was a big fan of Mal Brown, being a Subiaco supporter he was still the villain from East Perth as far as I was concerned.
