Dunno if ive missed something but we have to players called kayne pettifer and chris hyde who are both goal sneaks. Pettifer has kicked more than 1 goal on numerous occasions and if it wasnt for hyde kicking 3 against the cattas we may not of won that game because he showed flair backed himself and put the score on the board.

I guess what im trying to say is why on earth are these blokes playen in the backline? Everytime they get it down there they bomb it forward but we have no1 up forward to kick the goals coz they arent there.

We were all singing pettifers praises as he was kicking goals consistantly, Does wallace not want to kick a score?

Someone please tell me why they arent playing forward where they look like they fit..

Anyone can get cheap possies at half back, Not just anyone has the ability to kick 3 or 4 goals a match

i believe the last 2 matches our game plans have been very disappointing.
i would like to see a more attacking plan and play on at all cost and kick the ball long to the forward line approach.

So the fact that we have lost 2 backmen in Thursfield and Newman (also a mid) and a midfeilder in Coggs means nothing to anyone ?

Put the Sarge into the forward line and hope the running backmen can get the ball forward perhaps ?

Or a slow moving backman (the Sarge) kicking forward to mids in Pettifer and Hyde that have to then kick it into the forward line... to only Richo who is injured....

Not a lot of options at the moment...IMO

Same old story with richmond every year.... we never have had a dangerous forward line.

It seems Hyde and Petts have been put down there to cover for Newman and Cogs

There is something wrong with Hyde i think its his shoulder that he hurt a couple of weeks ago, but i have seen him grab it a couple of times after getting a bump.

we shouldnt cover for anyone. We have deledio, white, tambling, krakeour, meyer, polo, tuck, johnson who can and should all play through the midfield. Why we rob ourselves of 2 forwards is like shooting ourselves in the foot. You dont take forwards away from the goal and put them in defense to plug holes.

Guys like raines and polo have come on because they have had a chance. I cant see why foley doesnt play a full game to cover for coughlan as best he can, polo can and is doing what newman has been doing. Meyer, deledio, white and tambling should all be allowed to play in the midfield, thats what they were recruited for. Thats how they will learn to become like coughlan and newman.

Plugging holes is not good enough. We need forwards to win. Whatever we r doing is clearly not working and should be changed drasticly next week. Now that we will more than likely miss the 8, the kids should play in possies they were recruited for to give them a proper taste, Pettifer is a great half forward in my opinion, we are robbing him of his early season form and confidence by asking him to do stuff hes not natural at

Looks to have lost a yard at times, checkside. Definitely carrying something. Maybe he's coddling the shoulder. I dunno.

Pettifer looks sore to me, too. Lost 5m off his kicking. Kicking the odd helicopter.

Because of our injury issues we haven't been able to give these blokes much of a chop out in games.

The best way to take the pressure off their bodies is to give em some slack at half back. P.Bowden was sent forward last night. Might be his turn to take some pressure on the forward line.

I dont think our forward line is that bad. It's the way the ball is delivered into the forward line that lets the team down

With Kellaway, *smile*, Bowden brothers, Raines, Tivendale, White, Moore in the team at the moment they are players who can play defence. Also what about Chaffy? Will he play again this year. I was a big fan of his

Monster Hydey is either injured or out of form, I think he might be injured so if thats the case then he has to be rested, no point in him playing under duress.

agree, our game plans have been woefull the last two weeks

would like to know our average score under wallace????

he said a major goal is 100pts + a game and an exciting brand of footy
i reakon we average about 80pts a game nad we are not exciting

Wallace argues that we need 16 goal games... 4 goals a quarter. We don't have that depth in the forward line. I went to Sydney to watch the match and I was staggered at how ineffective our forward line was. Moore and others aren't going to win us goals in the forward. Brings back the Akermanis arguement... proven GOAL getters.

I know TW is not a fan of kicking to a contest, but what I don't understand is when we are stuck at around 60m from goal or way out on the boundary at 50m, why do we hang onto the ball for 2 minutes waiting for someone to lead right out to the boundary line in the pocket. Why not put it to the top of the square & back the guys to either mark it or bring it to ground for the small blokes? The odds would be no different to taking shots from the boundary on crap angles.

spot on.  kick it in the air to sarge and with tambling front and centre and Krak over the back.  have richo dragging his opponent)s) 50 metres away.
