It has been quoted in the morning press ( Australian , Sun ) that Richmond have gone cold on Polak , declared Cogs off limits to Freo and also that our club will not be major players in this coming trade week - surely people they cant be that satisfied with our list as it stands ... We should stop falling into the trap of keeping players that have had one great year , but lacked overall conistency and then stagnated ie Ottens , he had 1 great year , then teased us with what might be for the rest of their RFC carrers.
It might just be that player like Cogs , Sarge , Krak , Tivers , are as good now as they will ever get so move them on whilst there is a bit of value still there.
Due to lack of any success we as a club should not be in a position to have too many if any "untouchables"
trade to improve i say ... bring in new for old ... swap and change until we find the right mix to take us forward and keep us there.
