Once Tivva is selected for this week you'll be in for a big surprise, i have it on good authority ;) that the last few seasons Greg has been having trouble with his vision in matches. This has been rectified with a new set of revolutionary sports contact lenses. This is his year people now get behind him, start an internet fad get e-mails circulating of Greg in a spacesuit because the R.O.C. Rocket is armed and ready for takeoff. Go Greg Go!!!!

hope you're right C24, i love watching him run with the ball and kicking to the first option.
:o Vision problems may have been the cause.
Hope these contact lenses allow him to see behind him so he doesn't get run down anymore.

Hope your right C24. I always thought Tivendale would flourish under the Wallace run and carry game plan, but alas it wasn't to be. Hopefully he can now prove me right. ;D

Does this mean that there will be no more Tivva highlights such as the classic in the third quarter of the Collingwood game last year when he came streaming out of the middle and kicked the ball straight into the backside of a running teammate?

Just to prove it was no fluke he did it again a few minutes later. When he finally did get a kick to go to a team mate, Simmonds then held it too long and the next kick was smothered again.

Ah, good times!

call me a cynic but i don't believe that. i'll have to run that by my girlfriend who works for OPSM.

Careful claw, he's going to come out and have a blinder and show all us doubters what a valuable member of the RFC he is......and soon after that, I'm going to relocate to the North Pole and start building toys for festivus gifts.

Believe it Ian. The new contact lenses were developed by Nike I think. They filter out certain colours that can distract some players. The special contact lenses for tennis players, for example, are designed to highlight the yellow colour of the ball so it can be seen earlier in a shot.

Well hopefully these new contact lenses can highlight the yellow & black of Richmonds jumper to ensure Tivva kicks it to one of his team mates. :hihi :hihi

If this is true (not suggesting you're misleading us Cogs24), then it's quite sad that Tivendale has copped so much over the last few years when he perhaps has a genuine excuse for his form.

I can understand clubs keeping injuries well under wraps, but what do we stand to gain from not letting the public know WHY Tivendale is struggling? I can't see any advantage our opposition could gain from knowing he struggles with his eyesight. Benny Gale was in a similar situation and his problems were common knowledge.

At face value it seems a little heartless to leave Tivendale at the mercy of the critics when there was (as I see it) nothing to lose by making his problems public knowledge.

Maybe Tivva wanted to keep it quiet, thinking it may look like he was making excuses for his form. Or possibly not realised that there could be a solution.

What it took them that long to figure out that he is a blind maggot. At least now he has another excuse for being an egg,my contacts go dry during a game and i can't see properly.

Or maybe know one realised he actually had the problem in the first place until now.
