I am much a troll as Danny Meyer is a footballer....

You've obviously got a much higher opinion of him than anybody else on the site.

Watch it again pooper scooper.

Roughead got two on McGaune, one when he outmarked him square and the the other was on a lead that Silvagni wouldn't have stopped. He got his third when McGaune was off the ground having his head bandaged and Shulz held his jumper when he was 2 metres away from the contest. He got his last two on Thursty, the first when Patto was wrongly pinged for pulling it back in when he pushed it out three times only to have the hawks push it back under him and the free kick went to Roughead. He go his fifth when Thrursty got caught in a maul and eventually Tuck kicked it two metres to a Hawk who kicked to Roughead who had skulked out the back like a flanker. Tuck would normally have taken it to ground in the tackle for a ball up but it was the last couple of minutes and we needed to move it on so fair cop.

On his disposal, I think he missed one all night. The stats have him second for effective % for the tiges behind Thursty.

Agree with this and gave him 2 votes in the PRE game poll.

Thought his president would have come out flying the flag for him in this discussion. ;D

Finally saw the match last night. I'm happy.

We are the reigning wooden spooners. We're meant to be crap and most people had us fighting it out with Essendon for the spoon.

We came up against one of the inform teams in the comp playing good footy. They pressured us like no other team has in a while yet we ground out a solid effort. Didn't drop our heads and contested until the end. We even hit the front in the 3rd. I think our guys should be commended for the fact that we did hold our own against a better team and we made a fight out of it.

Of course I would have a preffered a win and if I tried hard I could start nit picking and pointing to individual cases where a player should have done something else, but that's just silly spectating.

Well done lads. These last three weeks have filled me with a warm glow that makes me believe we are on the right track. We may or may not make the 8 this year but we're certainly now a team that all others will be wary of. No more the easybeats of the comp.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Hawks did do that kind of thing, wonder if any other teams use any other tactics to try to wear an opponent down...

Tuck...elbow...face... just getting it out of the congestion ump... :police: ;D

Just looking at that story, the players seem to be doing it to slow their opponents down, they (AFL officiadome) have taken most of the contact out of the sport, I think players will find any way they can to get an advantage ?

Deliberately trying to injure a player, I call that cheating, but thats par for the course with the Dawks. I do wonder about White's injury as well.

whats to wonder about an awkward landing?

Better late than never, but having watched the game I got this strange feeling while watching us fight out the last quarter, it a feeling that I haven't had about Richmond since 1995, I can't quite find the word, what's the opposite of shame?

Yeah, that's the word.

Their was a contest on our half froward line members side with a few minutes to play where he were just putting in so hard. Our tackling was ferocious and all the boys were seriosuly putting in. We eventually didn't win the contest. But if we keeping putting in like that the wins will come.
