R8 V Crows Game Day Thread

Sorry melly - your good to my good must be way off.

He doesn't do anything at all. I cant see how anyone can say he was good, better than usual yes but that hardly relates to good.

Make no mistake it's because of Johnson, Krakouer and Tivendale, and sprinkle in a bit of Pettifer's scared efforts that we lose tonight.

Lay off Petts work really hard across half forward presented well just missed a couple of crucial goals!!

I'm becoming quietly obsessed with Foley. The next Greg Williams i reckon. Good on him tonight - he was a star!

I agree, he worked hard but had a case of the Richmonds with his set shots.

A much quicker Greg Williams, hopefully

Wont deny he works hard and his kicking is usually a strong point, but you cant deny he is a scared little twerp that costs us so much with his SOFT efforts. Absolutely disgusting seeing a grown man being such a scared little twerp. Pulls out of so many SOFT contests its not funny.

I don't think you can call any senior AFL footballer soft but would much rather see Tivendale out of the side before Pettifer don't you agree?

That I do agree with becase Pettifers skills are better than Tivendales.

Oh and yes I can name some very soft AFL Players - it aint what it used to be. Pettifer is the top of that list!

Obviously the endeavour was much greater tonight, no doubt our best effort of the year. But why do we always get blown away at the start of a quarter, particularly the first? Why aren't they switched on?

And why do we still have many players who continually fail to execute the most fundamental of all the skills of the game? BLOODY KICKING!!!!! It's just a joke how bad we are as a team when it comes to field kicking in particularly. Make no mistake, we should have won that game tonight. We were in it up to our eyeballs but when push came to shove our players *smile* up with turnovers and poor decisions again.

Not to mention Richo and Pettifer failing yet again to deliver the goods with goals at crucial stages in the last quarter.

When will we ever get some CLASS at this club :help

Probably more that the difference in class between adults and kids is show mostly right off the bat.

Agreed. There is no excuse for our skills being so far below the AFL standard.

Classic Richmond, I doubt we will ever shake this trait.

The class is there, it just needs good training and a winning culture.

Before I sleep - just want to say how DISGUSTED I am with some Crows "supporters" - who chose to target me while trying to have a beer at 3 quarter time. I am with a mate (a Crow supporter) sharing a beer, and this d*ckhead comes up and shoves his finger in my face chanting "0-8, you are 0-8 loser" "Richo is gay" and all this crap and I am getting a tad fired up. About six of his mates are laughing at such Oscar Wilde wit from this clown, he just keeps at it right in my face when the quarter starts to which I say "listen dude, just relax and enjoy your team, no need to be ragging on me just because I choose to support a different team from you" - yeah, I am a pacifist (particularly when there is one of me and 150 crow fans in the bar - where were you Shwary? ;)). He proceeds to lay diatribe on diatribe - right in my face - and a couple of his mates join in - i was incredulous - honestly, I never incited anything - it was just the fact I was wearing a Richmond jumper - that was good enough for thie breain dead neanderthal to go at it. Anyway, I moved on to watch the last quarter while he stayed in the bar with his mates - no doubt finding another target for their fun - but colour me very unhappy with having to put up with such crap while minding my own business. I encountered nothing like this during the Port game both last week and even when we whupped Ports ass last year. So I say, screw the Crows. Pr*cks like that deserve NO satisfaction. This was 5 hours ago and I am still livid! Anyway, great effort tonight, we just can't cut a break - Richo might have taken the game, but we will never know. The kids played their guts out, and I feel they were a long way ahead of last weeks effort. Sorry, ranting, I love my Tiges, and this place rocks! Lets kill the Bombers!

Gutted that we lost, again. At least some better signs though the inital forward set up of Richo alone with Schulz on the bench was odd with our eye on the future.

Hughes will play again next week at the expense of the disappointing Schulz and JR will come in for someone - perhaps Richo if he is out injured.

WOuldn't expect too many other changes unless someone dominates at Coburg.

A special well done to Patto and Jake King.

How about Casserely for Tivendale?

Know how you feel Judge,I've been escorted out of 3 headed stadium once before. They would have to be the most MORONIC supporters in the country.Judge,it would have been worse for you had we won!

Thought one thing that cost us dearly last night was not being able to play tight at the end of quarters. In the last minute of the first 3 quarters Adelaide kicked 4 goals. That's 4 goals in 3 minutes. It's all experience for the future.

I still get frustrated at the indecisiveness of our senior players who stop the flow go one way then the next then decide to kick long and then handball to a guy who gets clobbered coz he is standing still. I get frustrated by Bowden continually stuttering. The guy has superb skills, can kick a mile but is becoming so indecisive. Johhno is the same. I get frustrated by Tivaturnover heading towards goal via every route other than the most direct. Honestly this guy covers more ground in turning the ball over than Burke and Wills.

Perhaps the game is passing them buy too.

Another honourable loss Terry? Hmmmmmmmmm

Another thing I noticed, and someone mentioned this prior to last nights game, was the lack of quality tackling. I don't know how many times I saw a player not tackled properly and able to get a close handball to a teammate easily after being tackled. Pin the arms! A number of broken tackles too. Hopefully they'll be working on that aspect too.

Krak was good tonight TB

Maybe I'm making the mistake of comparing it too much to last weeks nothing performance :)

I certainly do agree he can do more, but his game last night was a vast improvement on most of his games this season so fa, still haven't seen the stats yet but he should be credited with a number of centre clearances, that alone is an improvement on last week.

Personally, I thought he did enough to keep his spot for his 100th game next week.
