I listen to MMM more often now except when Spud is on.Don't enjoy Rex as much as I use to.

Mighty Boy I'm with you there. AW has lost it for me. The M's are a better choice
Although last week Sam wais just as bad. Sam and Spud. Sam and Anyone else thats in earshot.
Im actually quite glad Sam's gone

It sh1ts me that these guys would rather fight and talk about themselves than the footy.
FFS I'd rather listen to Dermie. At least what he says is footy related.

I don't think anyone can top Adelaide commentators for bias. I can remember listening to an Adelaide feed of a Collingwood V Crows match. The Crows were getting absolutely smashed and the commentators felt it necessary to point out that Buckley, a former Port player, was playing well. Then there was the time Richmond were playing Port and it was the first quarter, I can't remember the exact scores, but the Tigers weren't much, maybe 7 points and Port were only slightly ahead, they kicked a goal and the score then became 14 to 7 and this goose in the commentary box shouts out: "They've doubled the score!" he wasn't just having a joke, either. No, I think they have the words biased feral wrapped up.

An article in the HUN today talks about 3AW adding sound effects and the like to try and capture a younger audience (off MMM). I haven't listened much during a game, does anyone know what that is all about.

And I don't mind Hutchy on the pre-game, MMM should have kept him.

I think there may have been somthing going on between Hutchy and the poweres that be at MMM, not to mention Channel 7

the game is all about the commentators, journos, web forums and the umpires. the players are simply a means to an end. footy is a vehicle for attracting ratings and circulation figures.

anyone got any pills to cure an old cynic?

No cure for an cynic, but I can join you
Something like.....cynicism loves company.

This current habit of the media becoming the story really pisses me off.
Theo X on SEN is another example
