In a refreshingly honest interview, Andrew said among other things:

. He'd be stunned if he didn't win the NAB rising star award
. That the club is bereft of leadership and he wouldn't be surprised if he was the next Captain of the club - perhaps even as early as next year
. Joel Bowden plays too loose and he was sick of trying to play on two opponets at any given time
. Richmond's skill level and kicking for goal is worse than what he experienced in Queensland under age footy
. Hoped that he wouldn't fall victim to the "Banik Syndrome", in that he had to hold the backline together before he'd played 20 games of AFL footy
. Was disappointed his father didn't play 100 games for any of Collingwood, Brisbane or Essendon thus removing father-son drafting potential from those clubs
. That Hartigan and Pettifer had tickets on themselves and that he was far more successful with the ladies than those two
. That Frawley was a superior coach to Terry Wallace

Raines also mentioned that regarding his Contract negotiation he wanted 10 years but Richmond were sticking to their guns and only offering the standard 5 years.
