Rance who spot would he take?

Not sure I agree with you on this one Claw. They both have a way to go but there are not too many "Gorillas" around so to speak.

Moore's beaten Fevola, Pavlich & kept Franklin to his 2nd least possessions for the year on a night they had 30 more inside 50's. How many key forwards does he have to roll before he's classed as a key defender...

The cm's a defender measures on a tape means squat, its his ability to hold his ground, compete in the air & on a lead, reach & spoil, have 2nd efforts, hold his feet & be composed & assured with the ball that counts. Moore does all that.

Evo agrees with Leysey again. This is becoming a disturbing trend.

Scoop agrees with Evo's agreence with Lazy Bays and also agree's on it becoming a disturbing trend.

Rance to take McGuane's spot long term.

See you at leysy's around 7pm, under candlelight, fresh king prawns followed by fillet mignon washed down with a 95' penfold. Let the night flow from there big boy :-*

As long as no one agrees with Redford we should be ok.

And I agree with Leysy......Moore has done enough to be considered a top liner.

TOT agrees with Leysy, Evo, Scoop and Missing on this one but thinks he would feel decidedly like the proverbial fifth wheel at Leysy's little love-fest.

Still, prawns, fillet mignon and a 95 Penfold. Noice.

Would it be too modern to offer to bring dessert? Perhaps Baked Alaska?

Just whipped cream ToT.

Just looking at the dimensions of some of the better KPD going around the league:

Glass - 192/95

Hunter - 190/88

Rutten - 191/101

Scarlett - 192/95

Hudgton - 191/92

Barry - 184/88

C Bolton - 189/88

Now, Moore is listed at 190/86. Although I'm not sure I trust the RFC site weight stats (Moore looks bigger than 86 to me) but assuming it is correct:

None of them are anywhere near Rutten who is Mal Michael proportioned and one could argue is dropping in worth in modern football.

Moore is the lightest, being 2 kgs off Bolton and Hunter and a large 9kgs off Scarlett (the prototype). In height, he's only a couple of cms off Scarlett and Glass (again the prototype), which is nothing. He is 1cm taller than Bolton and is the same as Hunter.

Other than the weight (which, like I said, I don't believe), he stacks up reasonably well IMO against the other KPD, meaning surely he needs to be considered a top line KPD himself given his performances on some of the better KPFs going around this year.

I agree with leysy, scoop, evo, Tot's and Missing but I'm not sure my light beer shandies would be welcome at leysy's. :'(

just though id bring this up again. anyone changed their minds anyone think rance should have been given a taste of real footy by now.

I thought he might have got a game a few weeks ago when Thursty was running a little cold, and Schulz was out of sorts.

Now Thursty, Moore and McGuane deserve their spots, and until one of them fouls up, I can't seeing Rance getting a gig. That's ok, he'll play finals with Coburg, have a good offseason, and play next year.

Once upon a time he provided great guidance and backed it up with his performances but now...

Whack Rance in there instead and watch our backline performances improve outta sight.

King has his detractors but at least he takes on the opposition forwards in the back line by running the ball out.

Bowden will stand there and look for the easy option (like he did all day last week) which only ends up placing the pressure on the reciever instead.

RANCE+KING > BOWDEN

Love so much about King's game, but he's not a backman. Decision making has been exposed time and time again. Unreliable. But...move him into the middle as a hard at it tagger and see what would happen. Reckon he'd shine.

Meyer and Collins I'm very excited about seeing. Rance I can wait until next year. As others have said, get another good preseason under his belt, gain a few killos and he's a big chance.

Bowden = fine. He has a defined role, let him play it.

Still looks a bit off being ready at Coburg to leysy's eye Claw. Was Ok last week without being great. He's still a bit rough around the edges for leysy. Has excellent pace, determination & attacks the contest very hard the 1st, 2nd & 3rd times which is a great asset. His kicking is so so & lacks poise even at the lower level at this stage. Andy Collins however 8)
