"Good to see Jay ranked 3rd.
Patrick Bowden would have to be dissapointed.
I thought Humm had a better game than these points imply.
There are quite a few middle of the road senior players who need to step up.
Daniel Jackson is a bit of a worry, would have expected more" (quote RROFO)
Agree RROFO
Thought Patruck had a resonalbe game will really help us up forward
Humm was good ...Tiva was average so was Krak .
Roden did well for he's first match back .
it's early and we will improve

From what I saw, he was playing from the seat next to Gaspar and McGuane. :hihi

I thought Kraks game was'nt too bad, considering on quite a few occassions he was left to chase 3 or 4 players all by himself & actually made a few nice tackles on these players, only to see the other loose players end up recieving the ball off the tackled player. His disposal by foot was very good, which I could'nt say for many others on the day.

I was dissappointed with Roach, Hartigan & Jackson, just looked way out of their depth during this game.

Schulz looked comfortable at Chb & played quite a good game, yet I will wait & see how he goes against stronger opposition before I give him the thumbs up for this position.

Thought Humm looked quite comfortable out on the field & would prefer him ahead of Roach from what I saw. White played ok for a first gamer, with more game time might be a very good pick up in the PSD. Raines looked good at times, will be better with more game time. P.Bowden was ok in his first hitout, just needs to dispose of the ball a bit cleaner, then he might be a handy 3rd tall in the forward line.

What was with all the hospital handballs & kicks, if that continues during the season, we might not have enough players to field a team with so many players nursing a concussion.

I thought it was huge when white got his first kick (At least the first I saw him get). I reckon I could hear him saying "OMG ... OMG ... OMG" ;D From memory I think he stuffed up. The next time I saw him he kicked a goal on the run, good kick too straight through the middle. At first I reckon he was looking to pass it off then he realised he could have a go. I was thinking to myself "Go on boy, just kick the goal yourself". Good luck to the young fella.

I think Terry may have encouraged the boys to back themselves. The more they do it the better they will get. I reckon they ran a bit to long and ended up passing to a player in real trouble because they had got themselves into strife. What I would like to see is a few plays like I saw from West Coast last year when they beat us by 2 points. That passage of play when Cousins ran, got the ball to Judd, Judd ran and slotted it to win the game (all in heavy traffic) was magic. I of course was swearing my head of,f but that is what I eventually want to see from us.

I must say, I was rapt for the kid to have the confidence to continue on & slot it through the middle. Its amazing what a bit of confidence can do to a player.

I thought Tambling did OK, didn't get much game time with the 6 man bench.
Tambling just gave myself the impression he just didnt want to play today.
Agree. Geez another outside player with poor kicking skills.

Actually quite interesting reading everyone (or mosts) take on how different players performed. There are several players who scored rating from Good to shocking all from the one game. Just goes to show how people view certain things and have different takes on different types of players.

Biase probably plays a part in it somewhere as well. (human nature)

Makes good reading though, just Hope Patto doesn' t read PRE. :(

Hmmmmmm…4 out of 10 for Gumpus eh Pantsonfire? Played 20% better than Richo did he ? Had a better game than Joel Bowden ?

Well despite sitting on the bench for 2/3’s of the game, I guess that one solitary possession of his did hit its target. And I guess he did look very “Scott Lucas-like” handing the water bottle to his team mates on the bench after all. And I suppose we can overlook the fact that the last 2 goals that won the game for Hawthorn came via marks to Franklin and Boyle who were Gumpus’s men each time.

Boy, imagine if Gumpus had of had 2 possessions. You could have given him 8 out of 10 !!!

i thought gumpus looked very "Hird" like with that possesion he had
he had 100% accuracy with his disposal/s
and the first half he did not let his opponent get a possession or kick a goal
and he didnt get injured (bar the splinter in his bum)

Yeah its still early days guys, we did look terrible and if thats an indication its gonna be the same old season that the Tiges have had the least 25 years with the odd exception!!!!!

I only watched a bit of the game from work and I thought Tambling, Krak and Rodan all showed promising signs along with Jay and the usual standouts - Tuck, Sugar, Bowden, good to see Pat get a bit o the footy too!!!
