While driving today, I heard that Carlton's coach issued a strong worded statement to Fev and all the carlton players who are up for their contract renewal. Decide if you want to play for Carlton, if you chase the money, look elsewhere.

Is this the same club who offered heaps to get Judd?

Is this the same club who now finds itself restricted in "salary limit" and can't afford to increase salaries for the second string players.

Fev's contract to carlton will break this team, its promising youngsters will be poached or place further constraints on its salary cap.

Is Ratten's comments considered fair or is it in line of the club's restraints as it deals with the Judd money tree?

Difference is Judd gives his all. I've got my reservations about how much of a hypocrite he was but you can't fault his application. Fev OTOH............. well he was disgraceful last night;.

Heard later today on AW that Fev heard Ratts and rang a rival radio station stating that he will sign with Carlton today. His manager then issued a statement saying Fev will sign on Monday.

Said on channel 10 that Peevola will commit to the scum and sign with Cartoon by the end of the month. Wants to be a Blue for life - thank god for that. I was worried we may go after him and that is far more than I could handle :shakehead

Yeah they were saying on SEN this morning that the problem has been that Fev's new mgt have been playing hard ball trying to establish who's boss. Fev should have laid it on the line to his mgt before now.

Player managers are greedy b@stards.

Especially dislike that ugly *smile* Nixon.

Peevola said it when he called MMM - said he was not going anywhere - wanted to stay with the scum to see out his career - said he wants to stay with those bunch of cheats (maybe he didnt say those words but it meant the same ;D). Good luck to him - as long as it is not with us!

Why hasn't he signed yet & prolonged negotiations?

he did not say MB - just said he was sick of hearing about it all and wanted everyone to know he would be resigning by the end of the month. Must have a few things to iron out between the scum management and his manager but I would think they would not be happy with him coming out to say what he did - all of a sudden he is not holding the Ace as he has now stated he will resign. Scum can haggle him down a bit now I would think. Suppose his management team will have to take what they can now. Who cares really. He is Cartoon's problem and I am just very glad he is not our problem.

Cos he's a dipstick

You got it in 1!!

If you can believe what you hear in the media, I think the initial offer that was tabled by the club was rejected by either him or his management, as he was wanting a better offer.

From what I have heard of last nights game (I didn't see it) he hasn't really helped his chances with the game he played.

I was hoping he would go somewhere else (not to us!!) to see how the supporters turn on him - especially after they have carried on about him for so long.

I thought they had plenty of dough to go around. Its going to be good to see murphy, gibbs, kreuzer etc fare when their contracts are up for renewal.
visy corp will be doing its bit for the environment. They'll have more (environmental) ambassadors than the U.N. all under chief ambassador ju$$. ;)
