Just a quick one. It struck me while posting on the Polak to Rookie list so that RFC can have two PSD draft picks that RFC is becoming very deliberate in its action.

I may be a little like Claw in believing that we aren't turning over enough players each year (actually one extra each year for the last three would mercifully shut me up) but like it or not I am getting a real sense of deliberate professionalism in the way we are going about our business.

I like it.

Look at the draft each pick was orchestrated and the only one that went wrong was pick 70. We lost our choice at 69. And now we are committed to a youngster already as our first PSD and we are discussing the second - only now that every other club has ruled out The Cuz making him a bargain basement proposition for a club which didn't make a $4M profit.

Yes right or wrong there seems to be a science to our decisions

Francis Jackson was the best thing Greg Miller ever done!
do you really think so. i look at the deficiencies no i look at basic skills that are lacking in a lot of the kids that jackson has bought to the club.

as for the tone of this thread shotsghtedness and a lack of long term procedures is nothing new thats my take on it anyway.

i can see it it now all ferals thinking jeez we got cuz,( just another of many 30+ yr olds on the list ) we will make finals. geez we might but it cant be sustained nothing wallace has done so far can be sustained.
for me the choice betweenn a drugstuffed 31 yr old and a kid well theres no comparison.take a kid and if he doesnt make the grade in a short period turn him over sooner or later you will strike long term gold.

Gotta disagree.

Whilst Stevie Wonder could see that our list has holes, they are slowly being filled with players that (whilst young and unproven) appear to have quality. I do think going after Benjamin (said in best impersonation of his mothers voice) could well be Tezza doing all he can to get us into the finals, and therefore save his job **but** don't we want our club to be in the finals? So whilst I am slightly unimpressed by this action I would love to see the Mighty Tige's still in action come September.

I wonder if we would have picked up Hislop, and are now contemplating Benny boy, if we didn't have our new sports psychologist? To me going for these guys shows quite a sizable paradigm shift by the club.
