Now that the drafts are over it is time to reflect on how we feel about the changes to our list.
Here I believe is the current list with some relevant stats, (in matrix form.)
Format is name, height, age, games, type.
I think I've got that right, although I did throw it together in 5-10 minutes, in terms of amending the old spreadsheet.
For me this draft addressed the two major issues that I was looking for.
1. The book ends, we drafted the very talls to put some real depth in our junior rucks, and we added those goal kicking rovers that I wanted too.
2. We added some genuine midfield grunt.
The other area was our general reduction in taller-medium flankers. We had too many.
We started at 14, and even with the addition of Hislop, we still finished at 12.
Well done Craig & Francis, without getting into the details of player by player, I'm happy with us walking away at the end of the draft process alot closer to what I've wanted.
A couple of junior 195-199cm key forwards for 2009 would complete the picture.
