You've got to hand it to the person that looks after the RFC official web page.  The photos of players he/she selects are shockers.  Could there possibly be a worse photo of Lids?  A few weeks ago there was a photo of Andrew Kellaway on the site - he looked like an axe murderer.

that is a shocker isn't it!!

Lids is about to turn 19yo and he looks about 55yo in that photo!!

looks like Bower from a few years back.

More info please Rosy.

I've posted on a different thread that I heard Paul interviewed on 3L0 over the weekend. He approached Terry about a role as a runner because he felt it would be beneficial to his role as Gippsland Power coach.

He's sharing the running with another bloke, I can't remember the name, part time when it fits in with his coaching commitments.

Hmmm…..might be a good idea. Might take a bit of pressure off the Dominator. I used to love the Dominator but since he retired, I think the only thing he's been dominating is KFC by the look of him.

I heard on the radio that Adam Pattison will be signing next week.

Geez, I hope we hurry and stitch this one up. I'm sure all the other AFL clubs will be clamouring all over an unco-ordinated young ruckman who would be in the top 2% worse kicks in the AFL.

Have to say I haven't seen any reason that Pattison would be getting any more than a year by year contract at this stage.

And many would be asking the same question re the Sarge, TOO.
Left myself open for that one. ;)
However I think you'd agree Jay's already shown more than Patto.
What do you mean already? He has been there for 2 more years

Patto re-signing soon? Unless he's concerned that he might get cut and has accepted a cheap contract extension surelywe should wait until we've seen a bit more of his progress this year before renewing him.
It would be ridiculous to even consider a contract extension until he's proved himself but the club has an ability of handing out contracts to any tom ,*smile* or harry.
He will be signed at the end of the year anyway who cares wether its now or at the end of the year.

good move by the RFC if it's true. sign him early before they announce the salary cap increases and get him cheaper. he needs a couple more years to grow.

Herald Sun reports he will be earning around 300k for the next 3 seasons.

Considering Krak is around that mark, I think we are getting value at that price, and so is Brett the teenager.

Its his next contract that scares me :(

Hopefully by that time he has Tiger in his blood and we're showing a real challenge for the Cup.

Congrats Brett, and Congrats to Chris, 2 future leaders of our club :)

great news this. but RFC should have signed lids for 10 years.

:hihi

Would be silly to even think about re-signing him.

Yep no reason to sign Pattison just yet, while we are at it might as well stitch up Roach, Limbach, Polo, and Moore who havent shown anything.
At this rate Stafford will be the only delisting at years end .
Pattison has not shown anything yet and for mine i would be leaving his contract till years end, there wont be clubs fighting for his services on what he has shown thus far which aint much.

Commensense approach Craig but somehow I think we will stitch up another contract before a footballer has not shown enough.

Ahhh, it was all that simple MB64 (and others)......... Every club, even the premiership contenders, have players that are long on development and short on actual games played. I doubt decisions are made on games form alone which let's face it, is about all we get to make "informed decisions" on. One season and a handful of games - rightly or wrongly TW and co would be the best placed to extend a kids initial contract and while like you I would have liked to see a bit more from him, like some up and coming stars do, the fact is few bigs make any sort of impact in their first year (re Cam Wood (204cm) and John Meeson (200cm) - taken 18 and 8 in 2004 respectively)
