A lot of fat is being chewed on how we can turn it around on the field. Plenty of talk of delistings, on whether Sheedy should be allowed back to Punt Road, and even which young kid could add value in this year's draft.

Let's look at the assistant coaches who do all the hard work behind the scenes. We have King, Royal & Rawlings.

Out of these 3 I would retain King, and break the long term relationship with Royal & Wallace, and Rawlings would be delisted also.

There are many assistants going around, I think it's time for change in the coaching department with our assistants, before we look at outing our senior coach. By changing assitants, I would want an individual who has had success at another club, with attitude and a bit of arrogance .

Does the assistant coaching area need revitalising?

I laugh when i was tod Rawlings was forward coach. Our forward system is magnificent
rule 1 kick it to Righo
rule 2 if this doesn't work refer to rule 1

Hard to know what sort of job our assistants are doing. The thing that stands out is our inability to develop young players like some other clubs are.

Since we are last I would have voted for none of the above.
I dont care If Rawlings is Richos brother in law how the :police: did he get a job as an assistant?

dont mind King, but I have never been a fan of Royal. Haven't got an opinion on Rawlings yet

They all think Terry's doing a great job, that's certain.

Hard to know what sort of a job these guys are doing without being privy to the inside working of the club however it's virtually impossible to praise any of them on the basis of this year.
There's too many yes men there for mine.

Royal is Terry's bosum buddy.
King is always positive about everything even when things are dire and
Rawlings is Richos brother in law..

I'd like to see some fresh blood in there who has been part of a proven successful enviroment to give Wallace some fresh ideas.

Should be a full club review of the coaching staff at seasons end.

How can we tell how well each of these guys are going? We don't really know all the day to day stuff they're doing.

I'd probably be most inclined to move on Royal if anyone, if I'm right thinking he's in charge of the midfield group. Rawlings is in charge of the KPP's, both forward and back I thought. I really would like to know the justification people have for bagging rawlings, apart from "he couldn't kick". His own person playing skills have absolutely zero affect on his ability to coach. You know the saying, "those who can - DO, those who can't - teach".

My view is this.................

Time for the parting of ways with the Wallace/Royal partnership. No yes men.

I would keep King but we need some new injection/blood. I would even see if Voss would be interested as an assistant with a view to taking over .

To pay out Wallace would be stupid. That is what has got us in dire trouble, sacking coaches and paying them out.

We have no choice ! Even though i am not a fan of the tanned one.

Oh goody, another witch hunt. Stay tuned for the "Bootstudders - are they the REAL problem?" thread.

Would like to see McCrae elevated into an assistant role. Has the background to bring some fresh idea's to the table.

Absolutely! Craig has the runs on the board, and a very impressive resume at that.

I've heard rumours that Voss is interested in Craig. If someone like me has heard this, then our high profile players/& coaching staff would definetly be aware of this also.

If they are serious about Craig, they should give him a 3 year contract. ;D

Dont know what rawings does either.

Those who can do those who cannot teach?
Cant we have someone who could do both?

I voted for Kingy, which is in itself odd, because I thought he was a sniping little thug as a player and didn't want him at the club, but since he got there he has done pretty much everything right, although as he tends to get on the radio the most we probably know more about him and his opinions on things than the others.I can't see Rawlings lasting long and I hope McRae's role is expanded. I do think Andy Collins can be considered an assistant coach, he's the one who has a lot to do with the development of the young players.
