pretty ordinary management of contracts imo. to have that many come out in one year is extremely dangerous. dont think there is any doubt we'll lose some, just hope it doesn't hurt us too much

Any further contract news ? A lot of clubs are announcing their re-signings....when are the big announcements of cotch jack dusty conc rance batch grimes Ellis going to be made....will we do a gws and name 6-7 signings at once.
Hope jack and cotch sign5 year deals. I'd be happy with 3 years for the rest.
Wonder if the Craig Cameron thing has slowed contract progress?

With Chimp, Lids and Brando clearly a level or 2 above Morris, I still find it alarming as to how he is ahead of the rest.

With the season nearly half way through I think the club will have some players cards marked for next year. IMO those out of contract in 2015 and rookie list and what we should do with them is below.
Newman - Retire - Decent leadership but giving him games now is hurting the youth
Grimes - Extend contract
Grigg - Extend contact
Petterd - Probably 1 year extension, offers flexibility
Knights - Either rookie list him or delist. He offers a lot when fit but his body is not holding up. I think a rookie list option is a possibility for him in case his body comes up
Rance - Obvious, sign for as long as possible!!
McIntosh - Extend contract
Foley - Retire - Body is not where it needs to be and is nearly 30
Gordon / Lloyd - Both are 25 and probably at best are squad depth. If we trade for someone like Motlop then both will be gone, otherwise I think 1 will go and 1 will get 1 year. Not sure which one they would keep though. Lloyd a ore natural footballer, but Gordon has better physical abilities which helps for squad depth.
Elton - Extend
McDonough - Probably extend
Hunt - Extend
Lennon - Extend
Rookie list - Delisr Arnot and Thomas, extend the others.
Frees up at least 4 maybe 5 on the main list and max 2 on the rookie list. I'm expecting turnover of between 5 and 7 this year so maybe somewhere close.
