i would be interested to know if and what directive was given to Jade Rawlings regarding team selection and a view to winning or losing games for the rest of the year.

was he told to play the untried and young players ahead of those earmarked to be delisted/retired? was there a list of those players that will be gone at years end? was he given free rein to make changes he feels will benefit the club in the future or to win games?

i'm sure as a caretaker he would have some instruction.

i applaud the directive so far with the changes made this week (Johnno retiring, senior players underperorming dropped, etc).

it is definitely a step in the right direction.

I've thought about the same thing TS. I just hope the catalyst behind the changes, whether it could be from Board level (Free/March), McRae/Campbell, or even the old fellas celebrating the 50th birthday of the club's past players' association, are all geniune to move this club forward, a step in the right direction indeed.

i must say i've never been so excited about team selection before tonight. couldn't wait to check out the teams and see what was going to happen.

i wasn't disappointed ;D

Yeah that's true but the next month will be very telling indeed. Just had to happen...

Main reason he got the job (of course), because he can/will do as asked, without consequence...
