This poll in on the RFC site and I thought it would be interesting to see how PREnder votes compare. You can only vote once here but can vote multiple times on RFC site. I voted twice there for Browne and am voting for him here. I was impressed by his work against a very experienced St Kilda ruck duet. He won his share of tapouts and got them to our players. He used his strong body well, took a very strong pack mark and showed good nous around the ground. Andrew was the highlight of the game imo and gives good hope for the future.

Results so far are

Alex Rance27%
Ben Cousins23%
Adam Thomson12%
Tom Hislop3%
Jayden Post2%
Tyrone Vickery9%
Andrew Browne2%
Robin Nahas22

Of course I voted Adam Thomson. ;D

Way too early to tell with Browne but I was hoping we would take him in the rookie draft, gee, get a monster ruck with some enjoyment of a physical contest and see if they are hungry enough to carve a spot on the senior list. Not rocket science, fantastic to see we are doing stuff like this now.

I don't get the whole multiple voting thing, never have, then again I don't claim to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I'd rather know how many fans like a player rather than which player has the most obsessive following. ;D

The poll is on who has impressed us most in the pre-season. I wouldn't expect Andrew to get too many votes other than maybe from some who saw him at Shepparton. Those who were there will understand why I voted, even if they didn't, for the big fella. Considering he's only a rookie he showed a lot to like. Fingers crossed he works hard and becomes an integral part of our future.

Fingers crossed they all turn out good, but Thompson really has impressed me!

Wasn't judging your decision Rosy, I get excited about having big monsters in the side. (Until Leysy hoses me down with the, it's a running man's game talk :hihi) I'm hoping Browne is going to be a very good player for us, it would be great to have a good crash and bang ruckman.

I just wondered if you misunderstood the purpose of the poll when you said it's way too early to tell DD. I didn't feel judged. :devilangel

I understood. I was just speaking generally. It's very hard to get a gauge on rucks more than any player before they have even played a senior game and are just a pup. I was saying that to temper my enthusiasim/ hopes for him in the future. Of course we hope all players turn out to be good players, but some types we need or you like more than others.

Browne would definitely get my "Long term hope they succeed most vote". Adam's ready now, keep playing him Terry! (Rance was a close second for my vote).

I went Cuz. I did not want to recruit him in the first place on the basis that we were pursuing a youth policy and I couldn't see him being anything more than a token player.

But he has certainly shown that he has plenty to offer onfield with a bit more match fitness.

Thomson for me. He has slotted into the team and his role nicely. Doesn't look like a new player at a new club. he's hard, relentless, and hurts the opposition.

Andrew Collins is obviously so far ahead that he doesn't need to be named.

Fair enough too.

Have only seen a limited amount but thought that Rance looked pretty good.

(Nothing wrong with that bloke wearing No. 32 either ;))

Yeah, Thomson for mine, even ahead of Cuz, just. Still like what I've seen of Tom Hislop, his 1% are excellent, and while he still needs to improve his skills (he will) he's an early stage Luke Ball type without quite as much class yet.

Robbie Nahas has been a surprise packet too.

There are things to like of them all if you look hard enough.

I can't help but compare Tom Hislop with Rory Hilton. Before he got his multiple injuries Rory was a mad keen in and under with the emphasis on the mad as his trips to the judiciary showed. Think Hislop will be more of the same - which isn't a bad thing given the amount of ball Hilton won in his prime.

Cuz, Thompson and Rance I haven't seen enough of yet - but I am looking forward to seeing more. Same with Collins actually.

Facinating comparison that - can see where you are coming from but hope you are wrong and I am right ;D

Thomson for me.We lack defensive pressure in the middle of the ground & the 1 game 1 saw of his shows me that he will help in this area.
