Seriously, some of you guys should step back and listen to yourselves.
From what I can see, Rawlings has done a few simple things. He has asked players to be accountable for their man, he has emphasised tackling, smothering and sacrificial acts and he has tried to get the players to work cohesively together. He encourages those who do what he asks and whacks those who don't, or can't, or won't, or would rather not.
Ever Bambi McMahon is gritting his teeth, screwing up his face and taking body contact. Anyone watching would be forgiven for thinking he was eating Brussels sprouts.
You know, the same things that Wallace wouldn't do that annoyed you so much.
Surely we should be pleased that someone has taken this stance.
Seriously, Rawlings has a brief opportunity to show his worth. Of course he will take it and try to make the most of it. Their are 17 coveted jobs in this country, captain of the Aussie Cricket Team and the 16 AFL coaches. What would you do if you had a tenth of a shot at landing one of them?
We've had enough clowns in charge of our great club. At least he is trying to do something better.
