RFC's recruiting outcomes for 2005

We did ok at the drafts although I am disappointed that we missed Muston and Mckinnan.

Clearly we were limited during trade week b/c players under contract like Krak Hall and Tiv ,who are all on about $250,000, (more than the PM, but when you think about it... :hihi...) couldn't be traded at that sort of salary.

Anyway imo one glaring error we made was to recontract Stafford, who was a liability last year and promises no more in 06.I'd far prefer to have seen his time given to Patto? and some of his money to a young ruckman whom we might have then taken at the end of the national draft.

But they are 1000 times more useful than the little war-monger running the country.

Trade week: would've like to trade one of Krakouer, Tiv or Knobel but not if we had to pay them to play somewhere else. PBowden comes cheap and hopefully keen as he is on his last chance!

ND: nice if we had another choice but happy with the pick ups

PSD: much better than Haynes, Alvey, Stevens, Bullen, Clayton or any of the other recycleds that we were associated with

Rookie: Graham looks a good get, Humm and Howat now have one year to show if they have anything. Another tall or two would've been good. Actually, another two choices would've been better.

Get out there and sell a few thousand memberships more for next year, RFC, coz you need the money. You are allowed 44 players on the list each year and it is NEGLIGENT to take fewer players.
