I had never been a Spida fan prior to that game but he was absolutely dominating us until the elbow incident. As a result we were getting flogged. What happened with Stafford and him was purely accidental but it resulted from Staff putting his body on the line to try and nullify Spida.

From that moment on the complexion of the game changed completely.

One of two things is likely to happen next time we play the Hawks and they clash. Either Spida will pick up where he left off and be completely dominant, or he will be very gun shy of Staff. Hopefully it's the latter  :-\
we have [played you since then and he has not been gun shy?
nor as dominant either  ;)

In the game in which he got injured Spida was playing sensationally. He has certainly put in for the Hawks and been a lot more consistent than when he was at St Kilda.
the saint fans hate him :hihi if he was not injured you know we would have won that game don't you :clap

That was probably the best Richmond match I have seen. And what made it better was going with watching it with a Hawthorn supporter mate at the time. I watched and taped the game the other night, on my birthday, with a glass of bubbly, toasting a magnificent Tiger performance, and a typically pitiful Hawthorn capitulation. If Everitt getting injured is the reason they lost, then God help Hawthorn. Talk about a one man band. 14 unanswered goals!!! I still pinch myself to this day.
