I find it a little annoying that with around 7 million dollars of football talent on Punt Road (was at the last training session) that in 2008 we still train on a ground that has the centre square roped off because of cricket.

No wonder we don't use the corridor as much in real games, we don't know what it looks like at training. I suspect someone can confirm this, but is part of the Punt Road re-development is to make this a football only ground ?? I like cricket but surely we can find a new home (game day ground) for Richmond Cricket Club where these mostly non professionals can call their own. By all means lets share facilities/rehab etc but for crying out loud make Punt Road football only, get rid of the centre pitches and lets dare to think we can use the middle of the ground.

Without RFC Punt Road oval would have been no more than 10 lanes of traffic leading up to Hoddle St!

Time to be more ruthless Richmond. Take over the ground, train like professionals!

Sorry don't agree as a cricketer who has played on that ground the cricket club has been there as long as the football club & deserves to be there as much as the football club this is why the football club is building a new training facility at Craigieburn we also have use of Vic Park & Gosch's Paddock at times. Essendon Cricket club still play at Windy Hill North Melbourne at Arden St StKilda at Junction etc

We are already addressing this, as we are building our new training ground out at Craigieburn, with a ground size the same as the MCG. Punt Road will be converted to Telstra Dome size as part of the redevelopment construction and new indigenous centre.
