RICHMOND FC ARE FASHION VICTIMS

Got a Chrissie catalogue this morning.

Agree the polo is a shocker.  Horrible.

The playing jumper looks the same as any other to me.  Is $100 around average price?

To me the training t-shirt and singlet are too Motorola and not enough Tiger, but I think the singlet in particular looks good.

I don't like the ladies top with the arrows either.  I don't like the arrows full stop.  They belong to Hummel not Richmond.

Love the white shorts and the white pre-season polo looks good.  In fact I think it's almost the same as the old one I have*.

*Whoops just noticed the things I like most are specials and not new gear.  The polo is the one I have. ;D

I'm interested to see the polar fleece jumpers if they have them.  I usually buy a new one each year.

I don't think anyone has issues with the training top or the jumper. The 'eye-sore' are the arrows, they are disgusting.

The arrows portray the club is on it's way down, very bad fung-shui or whatever you call it, these arrows are bad luck. No wonder this brand hasn't kicked on.

The only positive to come out of todays H/S article is that we may well not be stuck with Hummel for long.

Would it be nasty to suggest that the arrows stand for Concept Sports share price ?????

I could make some informal enquiries with Puma management if the club gave me the go ahead. 8)

If only TIGERDOG, all of my family are.........mmm.......hate to admit it but are Essendon supporters (Iam the yellow and black sheep of my family). The Essendon PUMA gear both in terms of quality and design are top class. Really high quality stuff.

I would love to see Richmond get involved with someone like PUMA.

The Congo police force perhaps Crystal? All they need now is a second-hand looking pair of 1980's board shorts and a pair of bone kayaks and ... ::)
:hihi

Shhh!!! Don't give the design team anymore ideas. :hihi

Good point. Thank god no one has mentioned Le Coq Sportif as a potential sponsor... or Haynes for that matter.

Yes! The creamy Ciak's of the 80's !!! With arrows! You're onto something there brothers!
LMAO JS ;D.
Let's pull out the leather strip ties and roll up the sleeves on our jackets whilst we're at it.

Magic! Ah, the good old days...............................as Rick from the Young Ones would say "does anybody here like the Human League??"

Yep, just saw my Chrissie catalogue in the mailbox this morning.

Tiger guernsey - doesn't look any different to me.

Training singlet & t-shirt - both look a bit anaemic. Also, I'd swap the Tiger heads for the Motorola sign. It is a Tiger top, not a Motorola top. I appreciate Motorola's support, but a big Tiger head should have been the focus. (Didn't know we'd become the Richmond Motorolas. That one snuck past me.)

Hat - looks the same.

Media Polo - Looks like the Bang & Olufsen polo that I have at home, except for those silly arrows.

Ladies Polo - well, I don't have to worry about that anyway, but it looks a bit old hat.

The away footy shorts look like away footy shorts.

The 2 polos, 9 & 10, look very nice. I think I might buy that long sleeved one.

The tie - I've never, ever, seen a Richmond tie that's grabbed me.

Ah well, the ying & the yang. Some good and some bad.

Just as a thought, many Tiger supporters have interests in other sports. Maybe the Richmond Tigers could fashion tops related to other sports, eg:
1. A Richmond Tiger replica baseball top.
2. A Richmond Tiger replica basketball top.
3. A Richmond Tiger replica grid iron top.
4. .......................................rugby top.
5. .......................................jockey's top.
6. .......................................soccer top.

Just lat week I bought, over the internet, an ANY NAME replica grid iron top for each of my son & myself. I put our surnames on the tops. Steelers for me, Titans for him. With the numbers of our choice.

There are so many untapped marketing opportunities.

Well Phanto you need to have a look at the CC tie from this season absoulute 1st class. As long as our home jumper dosent change I dont think it matters too much with the off field stuff as long as it keeps changing .2 types of buyers Idiots like me who get it every year regardless of how it looks or guys/gals who just think oooh that looks good Ill get that and wear it for the next 5 seasons.Got to look after the sponsors I know AFG are rapt with the RFC

CC as in cricket club tie. That would be interesting. Always fancied an old fashioned cricket club blazer, like the Scotch sports blazers. Now there's an opportunity, big thick yellow & back stripes.

I really like the Commonwealth Games blazers on the front of the Hun. The Club should do their version of that.

Amen. But every time some one tries to do something at the RFC it looks cheap and unfashionable.

If we are going to do it lets do it right.
